The Edmonton Oilers have rattled off a 7 game win streak, and managed to pull off getting back to .500 without a loss. That’s nuts. The fact the Oilers pulled it off is insane, but a testament to a group that’s beyond capable of doing amazing things.

Yes they’re certainly playing better , no need to go after a goalie just yet, maybe now we can wait until trade deadline and see what’s out there because I don’t like any of the goalies that were mentioned in trade talks recently. Might need to save our trade assets to fill any holes incase of injuries down the road.

I’d love to see the goalie and deeman search continue I’m sure they are still looking. This will work better in the long run market will open up more and we won’t look desperate as of now and the near future so I think some trades are coming. Arizona looks like they are going to lose 3 in a row, down 5-2 in Buffalo. Calgary with a point tonight in Colorado can reclaim 10th in the Western Conference. I wonder if St Louis is beginning to sell off players. They traded Bortuzzo before the weekend, so maybe a sign of a rebuild has been shown to them.

Defence, for all of our attacking prowess, its the defence which has truly stepped up. You start kicking downstairs, and you gain the confidence of the attack. Which in-turn takes the pressure off the scorers, as they're more likely to take risks, because they know if they miss a shot, there's a good chance they'll turn it back over. A great example is how Hyman, Kane and Bouchard have been quick to give options in the case of any potential defensive steals. Fantastic work rates from all 3, covering some serious ice out there.
