If the relationship between Randy Carlyle and James Reimer wasn’t already rocky enough, the head coach’s ‘he was just okay’ comments has helped put a stamp on it.
Carlyle not critical of – Clarkson, Franson, Lupul, the penalty kill all season, the PP since the Olympic Break, Paul Ranger, Colton Orr, Fraser McLaren.
Seriously – doesn't matter where you stand on the Reimer discussion; Carlyle is a fool who just doesn't have the proper pulse on this team. People won't realize that until he's out of town, which won't happen for a while if they clinch playoffs this year.
lol leaf fans. if you actually listen to how he said it he didn't say it to put him down or take a shot at him. how carlyle said it and how the reporter said it was different. besides you guys will praise reimer eventually and say how he is a great goalie like you always do…

Very unprofessional and huge lack of respect from Carlyle. It's one thing to say that to Reimer to his face, in private, and a whole other to say it to reporters/the world. Especially since by Reimer's reaction it didn't look like they discussed his performance at all.
I don't think Reimer is consistent enough, and at the end of 2014 he let in a lot of house league goals! Even beer league goalies could have played better in my opinion.
