December 6, 2023: Detroit Red Wings defenseman Jake Walman has been fined $2,500 for high sticking Jeff Skinner of the Buffalo Sabres.

Such a stupid penalty to take there. Thankfully for him,it didn’t cost him
Stick slid up off skinners shoulder not intentional but I can understand the fine
I guess, but if the NHL is going to issue fines for stuff like this, the Players Emergency Assistance fund is going to get a lot of money. Then there was Fabri hit to the head and Larkin hit to the back, both non calls. So never mind (sigh).
Set up a GoFundMe to get Jake his money back. Skinner turtled his face into the check.
