Goaltending problems & Carter Hutton joins the show Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk

The fun came to a crashing halt for the Edmonton Oilers. After winning eight games in a row, the Oilers now find themselves on a two-game losing streak after falling 5-1 to the Florida Panthers on Saturday night.

Saturday wasn’t a pretty one for Edmonton. Things were looking okay for the Oilers heading towards the first intermission; they were down only 1-0 thanks to a Carter Verhaeghe. However, two quick goals to close the opening frame gave the Panthers breathing room.

Zach Hyman scored to make it 3-1, but the Panthers continued to press, getting goals from Sam Bennett and Verhaeghe again.

If you have thoughts from the weekend of the Oilers’ action, join Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin live at noon on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. Leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Finning/CAT live chat, where they will be welcomed throughout the show.

Also on the show, former NHL goaltender Carter Hutton will join Tyler and Liam live at around 12:20. With Hutton, the three of them will talk about the Oilers goaltending tandem of Stuart Skinner and Calvin Pickard, the organization handling of young goaltenders, and future trade options for Ken Holland.

Finally, towards the end of the show, they will discuss the Betway wrap, their Alberta Blue Cross moment of the weekend, and then participate in the Wendy’s Daily Faceoff Survivor Pool.

You can expect all of that and more on today’s edition of Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk.
