Its crazy to watch all the islanders cross ice passes go straight through every Oilers player in the second period. Can’t blame skinner for this one. Sorokin is also so dman good.

On the Islanders 1st goal, why do Nurse and Ceci let the Islander behind them and are following the puck not knowing where he is? This happens far too often where the opposing team is behind our D in front of our net? What kind of effort was that tonight? 8-0 is turning out to just be a smoke screen. Now that it’s blown away it exposes our inability to play defence or put in 60 minutes.

Ilya Sorokin played like Ilya Sorokin, and the defense, while giving up 30 again, was much better. This was a much needed win for the isles to keep pace in a very clogged metro. Also a key regulation win.
Also Simon Holmstrom is a fun player. He's already at 10 goals, even if his shooting % is unsustainable, he's making all of those shorthanded chances count
