  1. That would be the second highest goal total of his career, behind 51 in 2009-10!

    Just needs 45 or more.

Crosby is on a tear, and that’s rad. Would love to see him reach 50, even if that’s unlikely.

My most interesting note about this list is Carter Motherfucking Verhaeghe. This dude is a beast, not only scoring at that pace, but doing so at a $4.1 million cap hit for another year. few guys score better than 10 goals per million in salary.

How many teams are getting 2 40 goal campaigns out of a 4 million player? (24 the year before that) which caused the offer. Florida’s just kicking themselves they didn’t offer more term.

Sid is whatever this team needs him to be.

    Need a sniper? No problem!

Need me to be the playmaker now? That’s fine!

Need a top notch faceoff guy and defensive forward? I got you covered!

    That’s why he fucking rules.

For Sids remaining years, I really really beleive that getting him a premier setup guy is the way to go.
Sid can’t keep cycling in the corners and making space like it’s 2009 when he’s getting close to 40, and saving the wear and tear at this point will be worth its weight in gold.

But Sid will always be able to score from anywhere, and he’s one of the best close to the net.

Essentially getting him a diet Panarin/Marner type (with a little more grit for the cycle game) would be extending his career another couple years as far as goal scoring goes.

Imagine how much he would have if the power play was clicking all season. How unfortunate.

A GOAT? I don’t see Mario Lemieux’s name anywhere on that list.

  7. we should lock that kid up to term, give em whatever he wants
