Leaving a Stanley Cup contending team which saw you finish with 115 points in a season and offering you millions more than anyone else only to sign with a team firmly in the Connor Bedard sweepstakes under the guise of being closer to family (who you would still need to fly to see unlike New Jersey which was also in the running but a couple of hundred grand short) is something I don’t understand. But I don’t hate the guy.

I don’t really hate Oilers fans tbh, if anything it’s just amusing to see how they switch between melting down and then go back to planning the parade. Also makes you feel kinda bad for them how they still bring up the “4-1” and after that, zero ammo. The only fanbases that are actually insufferable are Canucks and Leafs fans
