This is only Skinner's second full season. Goalies usually come into their own around 5 years in. He wasn't even supposed to be a starter, he was supposed to be back up for a couple seasons. Let him have room to grow. But at the same time, Holland better get another goalie to help him
I think it’s time for this fan base to stop crapping on players when they have a bad game and start appreciating them more when they do have a great game. Stu was ultimately just as good (actually better) than Quick tonight. That blocker save during the pp was awesome. If this save would’ve happened on some American team everyone would’ve lost their mind. Way to go Oil! Let’s go!!
I am trying to forget the implosion with almost zero time on the clock…and here in front of me is Skinner again….as if he is the be all and end all of the Team and needs to be out here telling us all how he alone won or lost the game…the job requirement s 60 full minutes of work not 59:59 minutes of work. Maybe he can try to put a little of his media time into his job on the ice.

Need to remember that Skinner is only 25 and he was thrown into the NHL earlier than he was supposed to. He will keep getting better

Skinner gave the Oilers a chance to win this game. That last second goal probably really hurt his ego for the night though.
