@Montreal Canadiens

a rough game on the road..

OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at the game last night between the Montréal Canadiens and the Minnesota Wild. The Wild won this game by a final score of 4-3 in overtime, and the Canadiens just cannot seem to find a way to win a game of hockey in Minnesota. However, a big night for Juraj Slafkovsky and Nick Suzuki, who put up multiple points!

  1. The boys played hard, Minnesota plays dirty and the reffing sucked. At least we came away with a point and I didn't die of a coronary watching. We need Arber back.

  2. Still got a hard time justifying losing vs a budget restricted team, but eh their future stars aren’t signed under massive contracts yet so are they really under budget or simply smartly constructed ?

    Unlike the Canadiens they also have very few overpaid vets in their ranks, somehow hoping to flip them without them or the the team performing first.

  3. Caufield is just floating around the outside of the offensive face-off circle doing nothing to help forcheck. Big difference between him and Fossi that's forsure

  4. Would have been a different game with Arby in the line up…..are we going to wait until more injuries happen?

  5. It seems that in the NHL the refs are managing the game and keeping things in check, moreso than objectively calling the game upon the rules. This has always been the way of the NHL world.

  6. While I agree Caufield and suzuki are some of our safest bets for an OT win they can't be on the ice as long as they are. These guys are gassed out there and not being as sharp defensively.

  7. Montembeault was fighting the puck all game long. He didn’t have it last night & neither did the refs. Xhekaj needs to be called up soon.

  8. I have to give the HABS much credit even during this rebuild.

    As always, they never give up, thanks to MSL's coaching techniques and his ability to inspire players.

    As total underdogs, the HABS have consistently given us their 'never give up' attitude which is admirable.

  9. Savers went after the wrong guy there. Right before Folingi ran across the zone to board heineman, then clips Monty coming behind him through the crease

  10. Is it just me, or was the reffing particularly odious in this game. A ton of really, really borderline calls on both sides. Ugh.

  11. It used to be simple rules for a simple game and it worked. Then Gary Batman stepped in and complicated the F**K out of it, using minor league refs to officiate a rule book the size of War and Peace showing no consistency. The players are just as confused not knowing how to adjust the play with who's wearing the stripes each game. Can a commissioner become impeached?
    Get a hockey minded commish instead of that business tycoon who's ruined the game.
    That's my rant. Merry Christmas to all, great vid Junkie, and Go Habs Go!!
