Replacing someone on D who skates at a top level and eats up minutes is extremely hard. I feel like the forwards are much easier to replace.

I’d be fine if they resign him… But also I’d be fine with them trading him. He’s the only UFA I’m fine either way. Sell the test though.

He will probably be traded. I wouldn’t be mad if he stayed but defensemen seem to be in very high demand and Hanifin is the best that could be available by quite a margin. If he’s willing to extend then I could see a lot of teams having interest in what he provides

Top level defenseman. He’s improved so much with his time here in Calgary. Just keeps getting better. I say resign him. He’s everything we wanted out of Brodie x 100.
