I'm concerned that Jimmy Howard, a guy who couldn't stop a basketball last year chose retirement over the Oilers. Holland is paying for a mess that's been brewing in net since the pause last year. I also think Smith might be done as an NHL level tender.

We make do with grosnick and maybe sign a khl goalie when their season ends. It's where we got koskinen so maybe we can convince a vet to test the nhl.
The reluctance of the Oiler not wanting to play Skinner shows they don't think he is NHL level yet & also shows their lack of confidence in their defencemen & team defensive play is not NHL level to be able to support a rookie goalie.

with the Oilers just claiming Troy Grosenick I doubt they will be able to get Dell. I wish they could have waited a little longer then we might have had a chance to get Dell. I don't see it happening with Oilers cap situation and so many teams getting dibs before the Oilers.
Goaltending has been the Oilers Achilles Heal since they last won the Cup in when was it 1990? Until they figure it out they won't win another one, even with the best player in the NHL. Oh, and I forgot to mention they are weak on defence.
