THE CANUCKS DODGED A HUGE BULLET WITH THIS TRADE… Brock Boeser Rumours, Pittsburgh Penguins

THE CANUCKS DODGED A HUGE BULLET WITH THIS TRADE… Brock Boeser Rumours, Pittsburgh Penguins

Sticking with the theme of gifts on Christmas day today we are talking about yet another one of these Vancouver Canucks gifts now last time we made a video about gift giving and everything it was talking about the Red Wings and how Steve Eiserman gifted the arguably

Best pairing in the NHL to the Vancouver Canucks it was talking about how the Red Wings allowed the Canucks to draft Quinn Hughes which I get it it wasn’t Steve Eiserman at the helm when that happened but still and then how Steve Eisman gave the Canucks Phil a pronic that pairing

Has been great now though we’re talking yet again about another gift this time it’s not because of what the Vancouver conects received but because of what they did not give themselves let’s head over to a tweet made by bige head hockey heading into the holiday break talking about what happened on February 28th

2023 this is the analysis the very great storytelling that was brought up here by bige head hockey on February 28th 20123 the Vancouver Canucks were considering a retool after another disappointing season after months of trade talk and multiple down Seasons Brock besser was on the verge of being traded to the

Pittsburgh Penguins while it wasn’t fully public reports of the deal got down to this Pittsburgh would receive forward Brock besser with salary retained and the Vancouver kcks would receive Marcus Pon po Joseph and maybe some picks ultimately this deal didn’t happen and one of the major reports was that

Pittsburgh wanted someone with more term the next day they ended up getting Marcus grenland 10 months later Brock besser is second in the NHL in goals and the Vancouver kcks are first in the NHL in wins moral of the story Sometimes the best approach to a middle of the pack

Team isn’t always to rebuild signing valuable ufas and making some smart Acquisitions like chonic laughy to Smith and tet is all it takes to Breathe new life into a stagnant franchise and I’ll be honest right here I’m recording this audio on Friday December 22nd Brock besser is still one

Of the top Point producers and goal scorers in the NHL he’s got 24 goals in 34 games played at the time of recording this audio a staggering number considering his career high in goals which was his rookie season 6 years ago saw him put up 29 goals in 62 games the

Next best season after that was the 26 goal year in his sophomore season he has never had as many goals since until now he’s on Pace for 58 goals and I’m not going to go out there and say that he hits it it’s guaranteed or whatever if

Brock besser gets 40 goals I feel like that is already seen as a top tier amazing season and sure he’s on Pace to shattering that I just want to keep my expectations low you know what’s that Zena Cod from Spider-Man if you have low expectations you’ll never be disappointed something like that right

And I guess 40 goals isn’t even really all too low quote unquote of an expectation but of course when you think about where Canuck’s fans were with Brock besser back when this entire Pittsburgh thing was going on it’s a night and day difference may I remind you we’re in December right now February

Is 2 months away it’s almost been an entire year since Brock besser was going through that terrible slump last season where he only had 18 goals in 74 games played now sure the playmaking was there the two-way play was there he had 55 points which isn’t bad it’s just

Compared to nowadays I mean Brock has unlocked such a different level of goal scoring that we haven’t seen out of him and he’s still on paac to getting a 30 plus assist year he’s only done that twice in the past this really is a player who has taken the best out of

What Rick tett has told him to do and made himself a fortune for it now he’s scoring like a 6.65 million aav player and debatably even better than that second in the NHL and goals behind a Matthews and in front of literally everybody else of course that’s at the

Time of recording this audio things may change by the time the video gets published on YouTube but if we take a look back in the past as to how this trade idea would have shaped up the Vancouver Canucks were thinking about trading Brock besser with salary retained for Marcus peton po Joseph and

Pix now Marcus Pon for all the things that we could joke about saying oh yeah it would have been nice to have a Pon and a Pon and a Pon two aliases and a Marcus this is not a player that have moved the needle in the ways the

Vancouver Canucks could have used he’s on Pace for about 20 points this season which is all right but when you think about what else the Canucks were able to do in the off season they acquired Ian Cole they acquired Carson Susi they shortly after made trades for guys like

Mark fredman Nikita zadorov this team whether it was through a brock besser trade or not was going to get their defenseman po Joseph is a pretty allright player himself he’s also a left-handed player 24 years old on the blue line and this season he is playing mostly up

And down he’s bounced around between Pittsburgh and the AHL Squad but he is on Pace for about seven points with the Penguins not great considering the overall status of what he was supposed to be he had 21 points last year in 75 games played I wonder what the heck’s

Going on with po Joseph now realistically the cans would have been selling besser at a low point for two guys that now you could say are worse than Susi and Cole and what Nikita’s ad is capable of bringing the Vancouver Canucks escaped this situation with Pittsburgh with the best player out of

Everybody that would have been involved in Brock besser and the opportunity to get even better defenseman they were trying to get in the first place if the Vancouver conects made this trade you don’t even know if Brock besser would have improved in the ways that he had this offseason in Pittsburgh it was

Pretty much Rick tett who dictated the pace for a lot of these Canucks in the offseason the only one that didn’t really follow seemed to have been Andre Kusa who yeed off to B but other than that the rest of these conu players all took a huge step up as we had said

Throughout multiple videos in the past the only top tier quote unquote kanak that didn’t really improve on this team during the offseason was Koozie everybody else Pon is better he is actually playing worse but he’s scoring more points so you could debate that he’s probably better Quinn Hughes much

Better JT Miller is better Demco is healthy therefore he’s better Kenco is the only guy who didn’t do that Brock besser though has had the biggest Improvement out of everybody most improved kanuck by far unless you wanted to talk about guys like Dakota Joshua I guess he can count in that category as

Well but still you don’t know that if Brock besser was in Pittsburgh he would have exhibited the same type of growth because sure if you had told the February version of the Canucks and the Penguins yeah if you get Brock besser that guy’s going to be a top of the

League goal scorer second behind Austin Matthews he’s going to be on Pace to shattering his career high in goals and points there is nothing to lose here then probably the price for besser would have been even higher than just po Joseph and Marcus peton and some picks I

Mean of course it depends on what the picks are you’re probably thinking of maybe a first or maybe multiple seconds if you wanted to just say Okay po Joseph has value so maybe it’s not that much then who really knows but still there is a really good opportunity that the

Vancouver conu got for themselves by not making this trade you had the space to get better defenseman than pson and po Joseph you still keep Brock besser who is at the top of his game and the Pittsburgh Penguins I mean there isn’t really a dub for them in this situation

At all it’s just them walking away from what was going to be an inevitable second overall goal score in the entire NHL of course he couldn’t have predicted that but then again if he had gotten sent over to Pittsburgh he wouldn’t have been able to say that he would have been

Able to do that too so still lots of stuff going on here lots of could have Shoulda whatas if ands or whatevers let me know your thoughts in the comment section below about this entire Brock besser to Pittsburgh thing and what are your thoughts on how things

Have shaped out 10 months later I’ll tell you this one more thought to end off the video it wasn’t just Brock besser that was linked to Pittsburgh in this time frame I remember that before male granin or yeah it was male granin right I remember right before the

Grandland trade went down everybody was talking about JT Miller getting sent over to Pittsburgh because he grew up in the area he’s a HomeTown guy he was signed on for a long time and there was term with that contract but after the JT Miller trade did not go down and granin

Got sent over to Pittsburgh instead we specifically made a video talking about it and saying hey that’s not JT Miller like what’s going on Pittsburgh y’all are pulling my leg here I thought you were going for JT and I mean look now Miller is on the

Canucks he is one of the top players in the NHL in points and I’m pretty happy to see him still suiting up in that Vancouver sweater so even though there was a lot of stuff going on in this time frame that made for very intg ining conversation you can’t go out there and

Argue with the way things have gone since then so Vancouver they’ve got besser Pittsburgh did not get him the pens didn’t get Miller either and now they’re stuck with a guy in granin who didn’t even resign he went to San Jose he’s doing pretty all right now not

Going to lie but either way let me know your thoughts in the comment section below about the Pittsburgh penguin’s huge gift of a lack of a trade with the Vancouver Canucks regarding Brock B the Canucks dodged a huge bullet let me know your thoughts in the comment section

Below I hope you enjoyed this V troll9 and Bye

  1. Brock not only scores in all areas, he makes assists and checks in all areas and has become a complete hockey player. He is becoming more than a goal scorer and is trusted by Tocchet the most in last-minute protection situations. This was a trade that would have haunted us like the Cam Neely trade! Good on Brock for coming to camp in the best shape of his life and betting on himself to break through!
