“Predatory” Hit From Kaprizov Angers Predators After 6-1 Loss to Wild

The Nashville Predators’ six-game winning streak is over thanks to Thursday’s 6-1 loss to John Hynes, Connor Dewar, and the Minnesota Wild. The result, however, was overshadowed by Kirill Kaprizov’s hit on Alexandre Carrier that knocked Carrier out of the game. Afterwards, the Predators called the hit
“predatory” and were angered the refs didn’t call a major penalty. On today’s show, we’ll debate the no-call and whether Kaprizov should face more discipline from the NHL. Plus, we discuss Hynes’s return to Smashville, how the Predators offset a potential Carrier loss, and how concerned we should be about Luke Schenn’s play.

  1. That was humiliating. The Wild came out to play and had some of the hardest hits I’ve seen in a while. It looked almost as if the Preds were afraid to hit somebody.

  2. I literally bought tickets to see the Preds play on the 10th in Montreal the night before this game, so I hope they can get back and stay on track before then.😬

  3. Wild fan here. It was just a game that the Preds got beat. They have played well lately and just got caught by a Wild team that finally put a game together. Kaprizov's hit wasn't as dramatic as you make it. No major penalty, no suspension, so get over it. Kaprizov has received brutal cheap shots his entire career that were far worse. A lot of them that were not called. There have been far worse hits not called around the league. Move on.
