Jones in limbo for both parties better of to trade
Jones still needs a lot of work on his defense. Putting him in the 6 defensemen on the active roster will cost the Rangers too many games. So trading him would make more sense and it would be better for Jones at this point.
Need him for depth. No reason to get rid of him right now. The return won’t be much. Reassess at the deadline.
