  1. In 50 years of following the team, this is the first time I recall Blues fans booing an individual player. StL is normally super supportive of its players. He asked for it by loafing shift after shift.

  2. The fans have every right to boo their players, they paid their tickets with their hard earned money. Get him a tissue.

  3. I’m sorry. You’re 25 years old. To cry because you got booed by some people… bro…… If he was 19 I’d give him a pass.

  4. Blues fan here! 99% of Blues fans are immature and emotionally unstable drunks. This is from my 30 years of subjective experience.

  5. If Kyrou said "Im happy hes gone" I might understand but a "No comment"?!
    Ridiculous reaction from Blue fan.

  6. Kyrou has to toughen up and grow up to be a pro. That’s what Chief was trying to coach him. Unfortunately, I think he’s learned the hard way from the Blues fans.

  7. I love listening to guys who get paint to talk about hockey talk about people on teams they don’t know anything about. Kyrou didn’t win a cup with STL and the booing is not just because of his comment and it’s not even the lack of goals. It’s his complete lack of effort and selfish play that everyone in STL knows is a huge reason why a beloved coach is now gone. Maybe do the smallest amount of research on the topics in your outline before you go hit record?

  8. On top of the way he has been playing instead of taking some responsibility as other players did he publicly said something stupid. That something stupid was regarding someone who is highly thought of with Blues fans and he paid the price for it. The organization should have seen the possibility of this happening and prepped him on what to say.
The bottom line is fans held him accountable by booing him last night, that’s it. I think everyone should and will move on from it. I’m sure Kyrou learned a lesson the hard way and will be better for it.

  9. I think I can speak for most Blues fans. It wasn't just because of his comment. If someone like Robert Thomas or Brayden Schenn were to say that, the fans would be hurt for sure, but I at least wouldn't have booed them. But for Jordan Kyrou, someone being paid 8 million a year to basically just show up to the games and not much else, say that about a coached who was very loved in St. Louis, there's no footing to make a comment like that. You don't get to do nothing and then bad mouth a coach who was fired because you are underperforming. If you don't like the tough love you're coach is giving you, wait until the fans dish it. I'm glad he was booed, and I'm glad he cared enough to get emotional. Hopefully it pushes him in the right direction, and he has a huge game soon where all the fans give him a standing ovation.

  10. The real problem with him saying "no comment" is that he hasnt earned the right to throw any shade on anyone in this league. Let alone Craig Berube.
He hasnt paid the dues or performed anything of note, especially for the salary he is dragging down.
It rings of whining that his poor performance was somehow due to Berube misusing his talents. Nobody likes the whining malcontent in the room.
Some veterans have earned he right,,, he hasnt.

  11. If fans boo a player for not showing support for a fired coach that is their message to management that the coach wasn't the problem.

  12. The dude gets paid top 3 forward money no sympathy for him and his low end production this year and his inability to play defense or back check

  13. I feel bad for him because he is clearly upset but in reality, this guy just made more money in two weeks than I’m gonna make all year so it’s a little hard to sympathize 😂

  14. Give him a break, it's over. He's young and probably wants it back. We've all said or did things at his age we'd redo if we could. Thinks will correct for him and the fans eventually, and we'll get back to good hockey in St. Louis.

  15. Canadian media gets this all wrong. It's not as simple as a single off comment. It's what's between the lines of that comment. St. Louis is a hard-working blue collar type of town. Berube was a hard-working, blue collar type of player and coaches that style of hockey. Kyrou hasn't given the effort deserving of his contract. His lack of effort (along with the rest of the Blues) got Berube fired. When it's obvious the problem with the team is the roster construction and effort level. Berube won us a Cup. Kyrou WAS NOT on the team that won the Cup. St. Louis as a city knows not every coach and player get along, but we DEMAND professionalism. Which means you compete hard night in and night out regardless of how you feel about your coach because IT'S YOUR JOB. Instead, his comments made clear, that he hasn't been giving the effort deliberately because he didn't like the coach. That doesn't sit right with the people of St. Louis.

  16. As a blues fan, I feel like the booing was just sort of a culmination of the whole situation. Berube was a beloved coach that finally brought a cup to the city and I don't think most fans agree with his firing in a retooling year. Then fans started taking aim at Armstrong for the roster and firing of Berube, but aside from tweeting into the ether, there's nothing you can do about it. Then Kyrou made his comments which were blown out of proportion and he just became a target for the fans' general displeasure in a situation. With that said, I do feel like this might be what lights a fire under Kyrou to improve his overall game. I'm honestly cheering for him more than I ever have

  17. the real men that played this game prior to 1980 will be rolling over in their graves with th black of toughness in this game today. you can go around today with your head down and show off your puck handling skills with no fear of having your clock cleaned…Bring real men back into the game before it turns into a league of pansies….

  18. its sad that there is so much judgement on all these shows and from the fans over something said in a media thats relentless over every little thing

  19. Kyrou plays soft and doesn't want to play physical hockey. He hasn't earned the fans respect as a blue to say anything bad about a berube. Berube was a Dawg Kyrou is a kitten.

  20. "Not prepared"?????? … what a joke comment!!

He makes $8/year. He's played terribly this year. He comes out like he's some tough guy against his former coach. WHAT DID HE THINK WAS GONNA HAPPEN???? Seriously?!?! Fk this spoiled brat!!

He could have EASILY taken the high road here. Check it –> "He was released primarily because of our play. Its on us and we have to be better. No further comment."

    WOW!!!!! SO HARD TO DO!!

Fk him. Hope he gets traded or Army gets fired. What a mess this team is.

  21. Agree that the comments were a bit of a Nothing burger. Also You guys are good— 1) – he was given an enthusiastic cheer at the next game, as predicted and 2) – him not playing up to his contract is part of the issue …… for sure
