The New York Islanders stole the holiday spirit from the Carolina Hurricanes

Paul Ihander, sitting in for Adam Gold, discussed how the New York Islanders stole the holiday spirit from the Carolina Hurricanes in a nail-bitting 5-4 thriller. Despite late rallies from Carolina, the Islanders held strong, sending the Hurricanes into a tailspin over the Holiday break before they return to the ice tomorrow to face Nashville.

  1. I can agree we should have played better but by god the refs were awful and it should be mentioned….never heard PNC so erupt over there bs calls AND MISSED CALLS (Yes there were more then one)

  2. The game winning goal from Anders Lee was a bad goal to give up. The goaltending just hasn’t been good enough.

Brind’amour‘s answer is what a coach says when he wants to throw the goalie under the bus, but he can’t because he doesn’t have anybody else to put in net.
