I think in a more normal goaltending situation this would be his last chance, but man there aint nobody else lol. I agree though, he's been terrible and has looked bad even on shots he saved. Would love to have his cap hit in equity for a deadline move or sooner. Might be kinda forced to use him until Woll gets back though. I think Jones is clearly #2 when he does return. I mean unless Sammy goes on an ayauhasca trip n gets his shit together. He may need psychedelic therapy. A good trip resets everything nicely, reboot.

Samsonov can be a good goalie. He was great last year. The Leafs this year started off with a very bad Defense and Samsonov didn't take it well. Samsonov has to work on his mental toughness more than anything. He needs a hypnotist to take the negativity out of his mind.

Samsonov and Keefe are not the answer. And I agree putting Samsonov in this next game really puts a lot of pressure on winning or sinking for him. And as much as I love Nylander, we can not allocate that much cap space on forwards, trade Nylander now for top 3 – 4 defenseman with a few 2nd round picks. His trade value is all time high for a forward and we get something back to help in other areas. (Trade to the West if possible)

Coaching calls it a last chance game against a lower opponent to try to get your confidence back. They're not pushing for a goalie in a trade so they're stuck with who they have until Woll returns. Woll/Jones will fly until they can get Gibson or Fleury type goalie for the playoffs. Sammy will be put on waivers & not get picked up.
They are playing Russian roulette with Samsanovs career 🤦

Tricky part is, you cant just not play sammie, jones cant just play the rest of the games. But sammie is terrible and so happy treliving has only signed him a year
