What a joke..

OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at the game last night between the Montréal Canadiens and the Carolina Hurricanes. Juraj Slafkovsky took a huge hit during the 3rd period which resulted in him being pulled from the game. Was it clean or dirty? Lets discuss..

  1. big hits used to happen all the time and play went on. keep your head up. i'm not sure when everyone decided there needs to be a fight every time someone takes a hit.

  2. what I don't understand is the fact that Andre Roy had one job in his career… to protect Martin St.Louis. Yet St.Louis seems to be clueless to the fact. He thinks all that working out protected him lol.

  3. It’s a head shot and again no respect for each other on the ice. You know when you put your shoulder or elbow to an unsuspecting players head that bad things happen. You are right. The response was awful, embarrassing and worse we have a guy who has no fear and is as good as it gets in Laval. That in itself is a joke. His plus/minus is not justifiable in sending him down. He has a shot, he hits, he protects his mates, yes he is down playing under the genius of the Laval coaching staff.

  4. We don't have the sheriff. We have the Barron, the Lord of the missed assignments. C'mon Habs get your head on straight. The Habs are a smaller team and we have a guy who is willing to stick up for them. Plus, his stats are great defensively. No, keep Gustafson and the Lord up. What a joke.

  5. A forward hit should be prohibited. The forward hit aims at hitting the head. We can see the elbow of Noesen hitting the head. In regards of hits to the head the NHL is a joke.

  6. I see it as clean, Slaf leaned in to it, hence no penalty. And I also think that when someone throws a clean hit they shouldn't have to fight after. It's a contact sport.

  7. By the letter of the rule that was a clean hit 100%. The head was NOT the intended target. The refs looked at it for the entire commercial time out. As for your take on retaliation for the CLEAN hit- That to me is the real joke!!!!! A GUY SHOULD NOT HAVE TO ANSWER THE BELL FOR A CLEAN HARD HIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That stuff is making the NHL soft!!!! I'm about to sound old but back in the 80's, 90's or even early 2000's you never saw someone fighting over a good hard hit. You took the guys number and and payed him back later with another good hard clean hit. I was a shorter fast American player playing Junior hockey in Canada. I was targeted every game. Nobody fought if I got hit cleanly. The same all the way up to the AHL and international play. You fight after dirty hits! Not clean hits!!!!!

  8. clean or dirty — makes no difference. slafkovsky is a dolt when it comes to awareness on the ice & it comes from probably being the biggest guy on the ice since peewee. my guess is he will miss 10 games min.

  9. Holy shit….the lack of any kind of reaction from the team is shameful. Where the fuck is Jackeye? Marty I know you being not too tall and probably have a thing against Big Tall guys! Bring him up back from Laval FFS.

  10. Team spirit like a piece of shit!!!
Only Cole, Nick and Josh made some effort. Rest of the team are pure scared dolls. Also I still feel a lot of jealousy …

  11. They talk about creating a culture and yet they let this go. I was really disappointed, bring our sheriff back!

  12. He may NOT have aimed for tge head but DID hit it. It was a penalty. Shocking lack of response, too. This should be reviewed by player safety. We do not want star players from any team hurt by overaggressive hitting. He could have hit lower using a hip check instead of the shoulder to the upper body. It would have looked great, passed a message and not result in an injury.

  13. Another example of how Slaf needed a year at least to learn the NA style of hockey. Slaf was doing well this year with keeping his head up until last night.

There was no one to respond, thanks MSL ya yatz!

  14. The title so right the habs are a real joke, i think they try to be soft as f*** years after years , everytimes we have a good tough we take him out of the line-up, had Deslauriers one of the best and local guy but no can have a room for him, same as Arber now, i'm just sick and frustrated to watch this organisation over the years, young team, good prospect you're not fight for the cup so what the point to have some players taking some stupid penalty tripping and stuff like you said, this is beyond embarrassing

  15. Nick Suzuki was made captain way too early; he's a decent player Caufield as well but there's no way we're going to build a playoff team with that core.

  16. The management on the Habs are WOKE GARBAGE and the ruin of this current reiteration….
Can you believe the best defenseman that teams would line up for.. IS IN THE MINORS?
    IDIOTS…
