Who would win in 2025: Team USA, Team Canada, or Team Sweden?

This is just a projection from these Athletic reporters. Obviously there’s quite a few players missing, especially when it’s 14 months away

Notable players missing in these graphics:
– USA: Boeser, Carlson, Boldy, Gaudreau, Kane, Kreider, Jones
– Canada: Bouchard, Dobson, RNH, Jarry, Thompson, Levi, Suzuki, Hamilton, etc
– Sweden: Rakell, A. Larsson, M. Pettersson

*My take:*

USA has the better roster and depth and their goaltending is superior to any other country. Canada have the 2 best players in the league in McDavid and MacKinnon so that’s hard to ignore. If I was a betting man, it’d be Canada vs USA in the final with the US slightly edging ahead.

I know it won’t happen, but having Crosby, McDavid, and Bedard in one line is quite something.

3 first overall, generational talents in a line.

Canada. They are made up of winners. Out of the USA players are Eichel and Guentzel the only cup winners?

Also 0 chance that Barzal makes the team

No way anyone is beating that team Canada 🇨🇦 🍁

Team Finland 🇫🇮 would be a powerhouse too. Interested to see their team

  5. It’s a toss up honestly, but I do know I don’t want to be out there skating against the Tkachuk brothers, god

I love Cam Talbot but there’s no way he gets a look at action for Canada. Also, it would be stupid to not have Hyman on McDavids wing.

I dont even care who wins, i just want to watch it! Preferably at a weird time because the game is in Latvia or Kazakstan.

It would be impossible to beat that Canada team

I think the largest issue for Canada is in net. Gotta hope that the talent in front of the goalies can help offset that disadvantage.

  10. Canada has the best skaters, US with the best goaltending. Would be a toss up.

Kane 100% makes the USA team. There’s no way he doesn’t.

I know Canada doesn’t need goaltending but is that really the best they can do?

  13. superfluouspop

Canada. Not even just saying this because I’m biased.

How are you gonna put old ass Pavelski on the team and not Boldy?

  15. Substantial-Recipe72

Canada wins on talent and skill, the US wins on grit and strength, and Sweden wins on defence. So idk they could probably all beat each other.

  16. BoogerSlime666

US could maybe win solely for the goalies

  17. mukilangawthaman_99

Canada for the win I guess in 2025 unless they bring back the NHL stars to play

  18. Brodieboyy

This would be a three team toss up, all of these teams are ridiculously stacked and could easily beat each other on any given night.

I think Canada has the better roster and depth, it’s just their goaltending sucks. US has a massive advantage there.

The disparity in goalie talent. Jesus.
Where’s my Roy, Brodeur, Price, or Fleury 😢

  21. Russia. Among the ones you posted probably Canada.

  22. PhilosophyMundane825

USA has to do Tkachuk Hughes Tkachuk Hughes Hughes right? A line full of brothers. Would the announcers call it by first name?

I’d be scared of a team putting out McDavid and Makar on the ice at the same time, plain and simple.

If Canada goaltending holds up, I’d say they win 6/7 times out of 10 against the states.

  24. YugeFrigginGoy

Canada would walk over both of these teams

  25. grandlinegooner

I think the goaltending situation for Canada is overblown. Hill is a damn good goalie who can play in high stress situations. Plus Canada is so stacked offensively that they can score at will no matter who’s in net for the other team.

  26. I put Stamkos ahead of hyman, and i take Carter Hart over Adin Hill as a goalie

  27. turbopro25

I think age plays a big factor here. At first glance Canada looks a little long in the tooth. This is without me looking In to it of course.

  28. Canada if the goaltending held up. USA if it didn’t. The difference on D isn’t very big (if it exists at all) and Canada is far better at forward, but bad goaltending can sink a very good team.

Man having Russia in would be fun with Kucherov Panarin and Kaprizov ect but obviously there isn’t really way to get them in
