The Minnesota Wild lost the front end of back to back games against the Winnipeg Jets by a score of 4-2 in Winnipeg. The Wild also lost Filip Gustavsson and Kirill Kaprizov to injuries late in the game, and trailed 2-0 after the first period on goals from Alex Iafollo and Nino Niederreiter. Ryan Hartman and Matt Boldy scored for the Wild to cut the deficit to 3-2, but Niederreiter scored again in the 3rd period to seal the win as the Wild lost for just the 4th time in 15 games under John Hynes. The Wild play Winnipeg again tomorrow at Xcel Energy Center. No injury updates on either Kaprizov or Gustavsson.

Jets got a way with this crap with krill now twice and took him out for a long time . How did the refs not see it . Don’t get me started on Merrill

I'm a big fan of "give no credit to the opponent". Although I will qualify that by saying that is it absolutely dependent on the opponent.
Can the Wild do something with Merrill, like lock him away someplace for the remainder of the season.

Merrill’s INCOMPETENCE COST THE WILD THE GAME period. Turnovers misplays, poor clearing attempts. This guy is a fricken disaster. The Wild CANNOT PLAY MERRILL AND GOLOGOSKI and expect to be taken seriously, this was beyond embarrassing. Explain why the hell Spurgeon is on the first power play unit. Ridiculous. PP was off balance without Faber the REAL CAPTAIN. These things completely sucked all the energy out of this team. The offense CAN NOT BREAK OUT W SHITTY DMEN STUMPCONAKOV and GOALACOUGHSKI have got to go away.

Minnesota looked pretty good in the third, I thought. That said, the Jets play a tight defensive system and seem hard to score against, with Helle between the pipes. Will see tomorrow – I'm expecting the Wild to be all over them in the first.
Spurgeon is a really good player but they will never win with him as Captain , he is the new age Koivu. It’s time to move on.
