Kasimir Kaskisuo, formerly of the Toronto Maple Leafs for four years, has signed a one-year contract with the Nashville Predators. Furthermore, Aaron Dell, formerly of the San Jose Sharks, has signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs as a short-term replacement, after the San Jose Sharks acquired Devan Dubnyk in a trade with the Minnesota Wild and elected to head into 2020-2021 with a goaltending tandem of said-Devan Dubnyk and Martin Jones.

This takes place after the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Nashville Predators were both eliminated from the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs involved sixteen teams, which were the Boston Bruins, Tampa Bay Lightning, Washington Capitals, Philadelphia Flyers, Montreal Canadiens, Carolina Hurricanes, New York Islanders, and Columbus Blue Jackets in the East, and the Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Blues, Vegas Golden Knights, Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Chicago Blackhawks, Arizona Coyotes, and Dallas Stars in the West.

The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Dallas Stars in the 2020 Stanley Cup Finals in Game 6 to win the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Vegas Golden Knights got eliminated by the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Finals in Game 5, and the New York Islanders were eliminated by the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 6.

Of the Conference Semi-Final matchups, the Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche, Vancouver Canucks, and Philadelphia Flyers have been eliminated.

Teams eliminated from the first round of the 2020 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs are the St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames, Arizona Coyotes, Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Montreal Canadiens, Carolina Hurricanes, and the Washington Capitals.

The eliminated teams of the 2020 NHL Playoffs from the qualifying play-in series are the Edmonton Oilers, Winnipeg Jets, Nashville Predators, Minnesota Wild, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Florida Panthers.

  1. unless the leafs are moving andersen or campbell, there is no reason either for them or dell to do this. there are other teams who actually need goaltending.

kaskisuo is the #4 guy for nashville, at best.

  2. I honestly think the Canucks should sign Anthony duclair and Ben Hutton in free agency who agrees lemme kno wjat u think

  3. Cheap insurance for Freddy and Mike in Toronto…but what about San Jose? Holy Nabokov!! They have a serious hole to fill. With only AHL caliber tendys under contract will Kaskisuo get thrown into the fire and rushed along with the rest in San Jose? Or will some moves be made and a couple of stop-gaps be brought in to fill the holes And replace their former starter? Do they have cap space? Please comment below-

  4. Leafs need a money goalie and freddy Andersen is not that guy and Dubas better act now or Dubas will end up losing his job. Aaron Dell is a backup at best. Dubas has to go and get a real money goalie. Darcy KUEMPER is worth a shot.
