  1. Kuznetsov isn't the only 1 not getting points 4 the caps oshie, ovie is also not scoring like he can either the defence is also struggling with scoring

  2. Happy holidays!🎉 I would like to see a trade with Kuzy and one of our plethora of goalies for a top 6 center, someone who could take that 1st center position and have great synergy with Ovie

  3. BMac should absolutely explore a Kuzy trade. With Bäckstrom on LTIR, the gates are wide open for us to retain the full 50% for the last year of his deal. An option that wasn't available to us just a few months ago. The best option is a 3-way trade, where a contender acquires him via an intermediary, who banks an additional pick in exchange for retaining an additional 50% on his deal. Kuzy at 7.8 AAV is a hard sell, but at 1.95 AAV, there should be a lot of interest around the league.

We don't need to trade Oshie, we have enough cap space to stay the course with him.

Mantha is a big dark horse. If we get a solid offer – then act on it – otherwise, I would consider resigning him short term. He does have noticeable chemistry with CMM and Protas. Would sort of be a shame to break up a line that is clearly working for us.

Lots of potential FA options available next year – Nylander, Reinhart, Bertuzzi, Teräväinen, Marchessault, Lindholm, Hanifin, Stamkos, Skjei.

  4. Despite no points in 3 games I believe Miro has looked decent but moving him back to Hershey is absolutely the right move and I believe he has the maturity to take it well. He also is eligible for an ELC slide so they are probably hesitant about playing him for 10 or more games.

  5. Well, if Mantha continues to play at a high level through this season and playoffs, I hope he's with the Caps 3-5 years. Looking forward to seeing Pacioretty and Bear in the lineup.

  6. 🏒🏒🏒Kuznetsov scored those overtime penalty shots. That's seeming pretty important these days. He's been productive as of late but he's a flashy player with suspect decision-making ability. It's probably not a bad idea to deal him away. I'd bet he'd play very well on a different team with a new format. This team is becoming more and more of a defense-first team which I love. That doesn't bode well for an offensive-minded player like Kuzy.

  7. Kuzy needs to go. I have noticed that he is not skating the same, he is not setting up other players like he used to. I have noticed personal things that have occurred since his drug problem. Tattoos, body language and the little things. I think pairing Kuzy up with one of our better AHL players (not Miro). Kuzy has trade value still and I don’t think it would be a great loss from a team mental affecting trade. I think with the right player coming in could really be a boost for the team.

  8. I think you’re right I like Kuzi if he’s productive and in the past his moodiness hasn’t been as much of a factor because of that it was easier to over look. Maybe it would be better to move him to not only bring more consistency to the line but also to keep developing a more positive atmosphere. After all positivity will push the puck further when everyone is dialed in.
