    >**Kevyn Adams:** I understand the position we’re in. Our record is our record. We haven’t performed well enough. So, all of us certainly expect us to be playing at a higher level and I believe we will be. I understand that people are going to be frustrated with me, frustrated with the coaching staff, but that’s part of the deal.

In terms of my belief in Donnie Granato, I have a lot of faith in him. I have a lot of trust in him. He’s one of those type of coaches that he looks at every situation to how he can help individual players perform at their best and then how do we get [there] collectively as a team? And I think he’s done a lot of great things during his time as head coach here and now we’re all going to just keep pushing each other to be better.

    >Assistant coaches, I’ve been there. I understand. When I was on the staff of Lindy Ruff, you divvy up the responsibilities and they all work extremely hard. They’re frustrated with where we’re at and what’s going on. There is no shortage of work being done. There’s a lot of extra meetings going on and that was another prat of the reason I didn’t want to disrupt a lot of yesterday’s meetings and video sessions around special teams led by Elli and Marty. You just want to be mindful of all that.

    >That being said, we’re not where we need to be. I understand frustration, but I truly believe in this group. I truly believe in the players, and I also believe that we will come out the other side better for it.
It’s adversity, it’s frustration and we need to push through.

Reads like Granato is safe this year and probably going into next, but the assistant coaches all might be gone in the offseason.

  3. Yea I’ve had the belief Donny is fine this year, assistants get shaken up in offseason, and the pressure on Donny is ramped up next year and could be canned if it’s the same result.

Seriously feels like Darcy all over again. The difference here is we have the youngest team in the league so he may still be proven right. Darcy’s team was not going to get any better. I hope he’s proven right bc otherwise where does that leave us?

Buying time, trying to figure it out! We’ll get another one or these updates in a month, hopefully more positive.

All I read was losing is acceptable after 14 years

Sorry Kev, but you wasted a season. It’s beyond frustration at this point. It’s anger.

  9. Until he makes a real hockey trade that addresses our prospect logjam and absurd goalie situation, I really don’t want to hear any more out of this guy. He is the NUMBER ONE reason we’re in this mess. A lot of guys could tear a roster apart and get you back 80-90 points with our draft position every year. He (and a lot of fans) acted like the job was done last year when we finally had a team full of kids who weren’t horrible. In reality, the real job hadn’t started and answered the challenge by sitting on his hands. I got hammered here for complaining about his “Darcyesque” approach, and now here we are.
