Sometimes life sucks… and it sucks for your life to suck in front of literally, millions of people.
I hope he bounces back and wins a cup as a backup somewhere or get a renaissance year or something.
I cannot imagine failing so publicist. Most people can’t handle that pressure.

He has given us a huge gift and I hope it isn’t for naught. The gift? An opening to talk about mental health in sport. And therefore in life in general. We bury mental health conversations like dogs bury bones. Sammy came out and said I’m struggling. I need help. Let’s make sure he gets all the help he needs. Because the alternative isn’t pretty. Hockey is may favourite sport by a long shot. Goalies are my favourite players. My love of the sport is Canadian, it’s sitting on my grandpas lap watching the Leafs play. My love of goalies is (I hate to admit) Ken Dryden, Mike Palmateer and many more. These guys carry a massive weight. No single player can win or lose a game. But goalies come closest. A shit game and you bounce back but 3 or 4 or 5. It gets harder and harder. Toronto doesn’t make it easier. The media the fans are brutal on the team, the management and the players. I’m glad to see an outpouring of love for Sammy here. Get better Sammy. You are not alone.
