Maple Leafs star forward, William Nylander, a pending free agent (UFA), still isn’t signed, and yet, his stock is the highest its ever been as he leads the team in scoring and keeps pace with the top five scorers in the National Hockey League, including Edmonton Oilers forward, Connor McDavid. Meanwhile, another member of Toronto’s “Big Four”, Mitch Marner, has taken a step back this season. Auston Matthews already got his extension… but the general consensus seems to be: at least one of these four forwards has to go, or Toronto will never win more than a playoff round.
