Alex Ovechkin nearly got the game winning goal and is second goal of the game, but it was washed out because Nic Dowd interfered with the Preds goalie. Later Dan talks about the Tom Wilson fight and how Joel Edmundson was bringing the physicality. Hunter Shepard was the goalie in the game because Charlie Lindgren got injured in the previous game. Dan makes his case why Sheapard desrves more playing time. In the final segment dan talks about the debut of Ethan Bear on the Caps. In his first game he logged heavy minutes and made an impact with the coaches and fellow players

Hey I think Ovi is leading the league in goals again. Goals that are over turned at least. 3 for sure but maybe 4 or 5.
I understand why that was ruled out I just think it's bogus that a goal where Lindgren was being held down earlier in the season wasn't overturned and that one was.
As for the missed stoppage for Nyquist clearing the puck, that play isn't reviewable! Therefore the overturned goal isn't a moot point.
What was really bogus was they conveniently forgot about the penalty and started lining up for the face-off. That's sus! I hate conspiracy theories but I'm really starting to wonder about the league being against this team.
Really happy with Bear's debut. I'm just upset I might miss Pacioretty's debut if it's midweek. It's on while I'm at work. I can listen but not watch.
Ovechkin was 95% at fault for that first goal but I guess he made up for it.
Oh I almost forgot he was the penalized player for there PPG.

Yes Ovechkin fell of a cliff. Unless I'm mistaken he was MIA after coming back from Russia last season too. It's also a 5on4 for opposition every time hes on the ice.

66 is possible for sure. He can quickly bring it down to 55, but Toronto stealing all these goals from him this year doesn’t help.
Ethan Bear looked really good in that game. I was impressed with his play. It was a surprise for him to come to the caps but it was a welcome one for sure
Despite the recent struggles I still have faith in this team. Defense looks really good and goalies are standing on their heads. If they can just start scoring 3+ goals in a game the Caps will be just fine.
Easier said than done, but I’m not ready to give up hope!
