I knew Joey was inevitably gonna be the guy over Sammy as early as last years playoffs.
I even said to trade the whole team for picks minus Joey and to rebuild around him with a proper rebuild this time.
Gotta be honest, I was really pulling for Sammy the same way I really wanted Murray to do well and Mrazek and especially Jack Campbell. You always want your players to succeed especially goalies that you know have potential and start to struggle. Hopefully another team will give him a chance next year. For now it's Jones and Hildeby until Woll comes back (HOPEFULLY SOON) and then it's Woll and Jones..but do we trust this tandem going into the playoffs? That's the big question….such a Leafy thing to happen though, down to our 3rd and 4th stringers..that Martin Jones signing by Treliving looks like a genius move at this point 🙌….if not for the insurance of Jones..well we would be F'D 😑
