  1. Still think it’s crazy that it happened to Weidman after blocking Silvas kick. Also/ why is this video so choppy!?

  2. Weird how this ended, felt sudden. Anyways love this guys persistence just want to see him be real about himself and career, hes had a great one.

  3. people should understand how serious the consequences of this sport are. to do it as a profession even just a hobby you are lucky if you make it 10 years even five years without a permanent chronic injury that requires surgery or simply becomes something you have to live with. chris is still fighting for money period. the man has a family. its a lot of money for one night. even if he didn't train as much as he should it still beats anything else. former champs stick around to long because they pay is good and they put their entire lifes energy and physical health to get there.
chris is still top notch. he could still beat the champ but he has soooo much working against him now at this point. This sport is incredibly unforgiving. you could argue chris's end came due to a late stoppage vs rockhold before the leg injury even happened or maybe even before then due to the toll of extreme weight cutting on the body. This sport is unforgiving. I have only seen people partially come back from things like this and it was aided and maintained by PED use otherwise i'm not seeing people recover back to old form from these positions.

anderson silva continued to fight and lose and all under the front that he was doing it because he is infinitely passionate about martial arts and challenging himself . I dont buy that. anderson at the top of his run set up an extremely expensive hard to maintain life style for him and his family. If he did not take the fights at the end of his career if he did not fight jake paul as well i think this man would surprisingly be struggling to have solid income and would have had to down grade everything for his family. . so maybe some of it is the passion to compete and be there on the big stage but i think when it really comes down to it its all about milking as much money out of it as you can until the end finally comes.

  4. Not sure I understand the UFCs humongous push to bring more eyeballs to his return. He’s an aging fighter who has looked really lackluster in his last 5-10 fights I would argue. Never in the history of humanity gotten better with MORE age

  5. So i disliked him when he dethroned anderson but he's a decent guy hopefully no more injuries, retire early.

  6. That guy is a legend, Champion, inspiration or anything else you want to call him. Will respect him forever. All the best to you and your family Chris!! Hope to shake your hand one day

  7. How many 'Returns' for the legend Chris Weidman middleweight are a different breed now from the Vitor, silva & rockhold he dominated.. would love to see him pull it off again but the dreams are big for him

  8. The return to the losing column . This guys washed up, I lost all respect for him when after his come back fight he tried to say that his opponents kicks to his legs was a “dirty” move 😂 like yea bro let me abandon my game plan because of your injury . 🤡

  9. I personally have no desire to see this gentleman fight anymore. Retirement always comes, what’s the point of having one more fight. “You’ve got to know when to hold them and when to fold them”.

  10. 10 years ago, I lost my best friend to, sadly, a heart attack at the young age of 35. One of his brothers got in contact with Chris from a mutual friend that trained at the gym in Long Island. Chris was so kind to sign a bunch of items to help raise money with a raffle party they did to help his wife and two daughters in a time of need. He did not know anything of the family and still took the time to do it. Money was raised because of him. A total class act person and I am forever grateful of his kind-hearted generosity. Long Island strong, and this man is exactly that

  11. I hope he never fights again…People talk about him getting knocked out at this stage of his career like he is a joke, but I actually remember watching him in his prime, what an animal he was, didnt care about all the steroids his opponents took, he just beat them up anyway, Legend 🎉

  12. Chris acted like he got koed why did he cover his face when he when down i dont understand that your face has nothing to do with that

  13. id say out of any of the fighters.. id like to see tony ferguson and chris weidman retire…i think its time….im a huge fan of both but i dont wanna see them get hurt..anymore than they have..
