BizzNasty, Paul Bissonnette, just fought the Seattle Kraken’s mascot at the NHLs Winter Classic. We talk about that and more in todays NHL hockey video!
Joey was an Ottawa Sens goalie who had a lot of potential and clearly Seattle is reaping that potential now 😂. It is painful being a Sen’s fan, Ottawa born and watched them my entire life but glad seeing our prospects finally doing well even if they are on other teams.
I think this game was officially trying to make hockey football. This was football to me. It was all the stuff I don't watch football for; the cringy half-time show, the actual pyrotechnics, putting the ice in the middle of an actual football field. If they add cheer leaders I'm strictly watching podunk loser hockey from now on…
The HBO series for that 2012 winter classic is what turned me in to a Rangers fan, couldn't agree more that was an amazing year for it. Not to mention both teams jerseys were beautiful.
I've been to two outdoor games as a Leafs fan – the Heritage Classic in Ann Arbor in 2014 and NHL 100 in Ottawa in 2017 (wearing a Leafs jersey to a MTL-OTT game, I know, I know). If I'm not there wearing snow pants and mukluks, I just treat it the same as any other game. The atmosphere is good in person, assuming you can see the ice from where you're sitting. But the presentation is fine, the fact the NHL does a spectacle is nice. But it's clear the priority is on building hockey fans elsewhere and that's totally fine for me. It's just not about making the existing fans happy but generating new ones.
i had the privilege to go to the OG winter classic in edmonton, what a cold day it was. but i got to see gretzky play in an oiler uniform which was very cool. I wish there was footage of the streaker, he stole the show for a few minutes sliding up and down dick first on the triangle advertisement boards that were surrounding the rink. buddy was sitting right next to me and i didnt even notice until he was running down the steps with one sock and a toque on haha, it was -35 that day and he chose to streak… LEGEND
I just hate the NHL now a days. Players are a bunch of pusspusses games are too higfh scoring, shootouts are lame and these outdoor games are way over done
I got to attend this game and it was so much fun. The energy was just so different at the T-Mobile park vs Climate Pledge Arena. Of course having 47,000 people there made for a much louder game, but it was so fantastic as a Kraken fan to see them beat up the Stanley Cup winners.
Craziness in this world man. You're supposed to be a professional broadcaster Paul, not a professional wrestler. You're on national TV in front of Wayne Gretzky and kids are watching. It should have never gotten physical like that. Hitting the mascot with the microphone, body check and elbow drop? Dude, ur nuts
Idk I think the last time I watched the winter classic was Nashville and Dallas it’s just kind of lost its appeal a lot of the new teams get a shot at it and they tend to be the more popular teams that are hot I probably would have watched if the coyotes were in it since they’re pretty hot rn and that’s coming from someone whose not from Arizona or really a coyotes fan
Bissonette's elbow drop needs work. Other than that, awesome (Buoy is 2/10 at being an ordinary in-game mascot, but a solid 9 at extracurriculars.) And how many teams have been led into their stadium by an owner?
The Biz/Buoy feud is so much fun! Being a Kraken fan, I was jazzed up for this game the moment it was announced, and leading up to the game with all the buzz, it felt like a glimpse of a possible alternate universe where the Kraken took the Stars out in the second round to take on Vegas for the western conference championship last season. Seattle winning it was great, and having a bunch of people get a chance to see why I'm such a Joey Daccord fanboy was icing on the cake.
I do totally get what you say about the Winter Classic, though. I pay it a lot less attention when there's no teams in it I care about.

Dude making this video for the cringe clicks… yikes!
Oilers shutout Winnipeg in Winnipeg’s winter classic. Same score 3-0
What did you think about the performance by Heart?

The 2012 flyers WC jerseys are my all time favorite. True work of art!

This is gold 👌
And this is hockey, smfh.
Someone forgot to tell Vegas after all the pregame hype that they still were also supposed to play hockey

800th like 😎😎😎
Eck I saw you in the pwhl stream

TNT is great for the sport. ESPN just hides the sport and pushes mediocrity like basketball and football.
I'm upset I missed this, and not just because I'm a Kraken fan.
Those kraken jerseys are so clean 🔥
haha
Nothing better than a TOE UP glove save
2014. Best atmosphere best game. Roast to the winter classic is always a banger
I love these games. Ive gotten to go the winter classic and Stadium series in Pittsburgh and everything about them are fun
2014 LEAFS VS RED. WINGS, absolute madness 106k people there watching and leafs win in shootout thanks to Tyler Bozak
As expected, the celebrations are a little cringe-worthy but it was a fun afternoon nonetheless. Lol
Him hiding behind Wayne Gretzky is hilarious

Pike Place Market is that "Seattle fish market", and is a must-see location if you ever visit Seattle.
You forgot to mention that a bit before the fight, Biz announced he had filed for a restraining ordee from Buoy
I was wondering when the irl version of shoresy beating up a mascot
With Daccord, I think Ottawa has now traded or let go about 70 goalies they could really use right now.

Not just "some Seattle fish market" im from Vancouver and it's "thee Seattle fish market"
Pretty lame. Pandering to pinkhats
Coverage is so much fun in the states. And the analysts clearly know hockey.
So much better than the national embarrassment: SN.
America is a weird fucking drug
The flames got a shutout in the heritage classic which was a great game as well.
Ill watch the game if i like the teams.
Biz Nasty was a favorite of mine when he was on the Pens.

It was awesome being there, couldnt see anything but i am glad i got to go
I loved the original outdoor game
I could do without him. I just wanna watch the game. If I want comedy, I’ll get it elsewhere.
You should talk about the biz vs Butch goring tweets
