Legoooooooooo
Ik it’s cilche but he needed some time
Yup, Slaf is good and he will be better and better.
Slafkovsky has been progressing a lot. Involved in 3 of the 4 habs goals against the stars. This guy is going to blow up eventually and when he will, no one is going to see it coming.
caufield is overrated
so is slaf
Slaf was key to that 4th goal to, fought to keep the puck in at the line and then wired a great pass to Suzuki down the boards to start the tic tac toe.
ithink he would of been good early on, i think he got lost in the mix for a bit when Dach went down, they were good together, but when they put him on lineone then he just started going upward, lets hope this is just the start for him
Slaf was key to Harris' and Caufield's goals as well despite going without assists.
Slavkofsky also made a nice play on the Caufield goal. It doesn’t show up on the stats line but he was the third assist
and he’s only 19 years old!!!!!
Slav has to go to Laval what a mistake?🤔
Slafs efforts on the ice are pretty consistent so far this season, I don't remember one game where it felt like he wasn't putting good efforts. And he is starting to make the better plays on the ice, last game he was actually involved in 3 of the 4 goals (Harris, Caufield, Suzuki) even tough he had only 1 point out of that.
In three years, Slaf will have hair on his chest and a wider neck, plus his skills will have improved. Bad news for the other teams
You should have also mentioned how Juraj helped another 2 goals against Stars – the Harris goal and the tick-tack goal, where he was the player who kept the puck in the zone and found Suzuki. And he has a massive effect on many plays some even in the D zone. He is and has been good ever since I remember him, which is for years now (Im a slovakian and I have always loved and followed ice hockey and especially our slovak prospects and players). I was always "defending" Juraj against the haters, and although I cannot predict whether he will be consistently good (without a weaker set of games), like any players could get, I know he is the real deal and a great choice for Canadiens.
I hope Slaf improves and this line starts scoring. Not many goals being scored when two players, Slaf not one of them, were predicted to have upper mid 30’s goals for the season. All three are below par. But at least Suzuki and Slaf add some size.
I say it once again
"Rookie Joe Thornton, 72 games 7 points. Some guys just need time"
Slafs is building properly…from the ground up…solid defense and responsible overall play…
…needs to work on his mitts a bit as far as picking rebounds and such…
…he' ll also need to eventually become a true physical presence as well to fully fill his role!
If you look at Logan Cooley…you cant be mad at what Slafs doing!
When looking at the best lines in the league, you need to also take opposing competition into account. The fact they play against the best lines from the opposition every night, makes it even more impressive
About Matheson…Kent Hugues when we first get him described him in a very interesting way. Being his former agent, there might be bias but the way he describe how he was suppose to developed, his archetype was suppose to be Duncan Keith. The Panthers when they got him, seemed to want to develop him into more of a defensive 2 way defenseman, which was kinda crazy since his year at Boston college he was mostly offensive in nature. He seems to have open his game a lot since he moved to Pittsburgh and i kinda see the similarities with Keith in his play. His problem is that he learn to open a little too much his game and wants mostly to score, which is not bad but he should learn to use his other tool a little better. He's not a top 2 but a top 4, but some games…you almost have one like Keith ! I don't understand much the hate, honestly until Hutson, Mailloux, Reinbacher or Trudeau move up, he's our best offensive defenseman by far !
anybody you put with Suzuki and Caufield got points ….
a powerfoward role is to make the first play for the third assists or secondary assists. to limit others and to take as much placce as possible. slaf is doing a fantastic job doing so. if he can get primary assists and goals more often we have a gem. I want slaf to become a Nathan Horton . someday maybe .
slaf started on the 4th line in the iihf tournament . went first line is a couple of games . that slaf for you. in the best league he needed a full years and 20 games to do so. wilde and train alredy forgot slaf alredy did a sudden massive improvement. slaf is not at his final form yet.
Slaf may not get that many points, but he is involve in EVERYTHING on the ice. Block shot, Elite puck protection, good backcheck, offensive puck retrieval, playmaking… He can do it all. He's also an absolute unit at 6ft4 220lbs…at 19 years old
Thumbnail goes hard
I hope Slaf will have has much impact has Kreider. Where are the Cooley’s comparisons now ?!? 😂
why you keep making videos on slaf, he's a bust, just move on 😭
Slaf has been what many players on the team haven’t been. Consistent
It not all about the points, so many takeaway 3trd assist or takeaway but doesnt touch the puck and leads to a goal.
Cant wait to see him grow with suzuki and caufield. Suzuki has been playing better since he (Slaf) joined the first line. Caufield is also heating up and it is very fun to watch as a unit
Just call the line SlafCaufZki
Slafkovsky is having the EXACT same vibes as Byfield did last year, obviously I don’t think he will explode as fast as Byfield did. But the vibes he has of playing really well but not showing up on the score sheet. Then the next year the points improve.
It was to be expected. He may not have been scoring before but his play had gotten so much better compared to last year that it was only a matter of time. He quite literally managed to up his game in every single aspect of the game. He's 19…
ROFL ! you're kidding hey! They run out of energy by the 3rd period and normally get owned even if they start the 3rd in the lead which is not often. The trio is good if it goes to shootout.
There are those who score goals and then those who make it possible for others to score, Slafkovsky is clearly the later.
You made a funny mistake that made think of a name for that line: The Suzie's coffee line. So, some defenseman will get one freash serve. Like that tik-tak-toe goal of Caufield 🙂. Let me know what's your thoughts on that.
Is Cole Caufield the best goal scorer of the 2019 draft? Its a very serious question. Because if he is why do we need a Cole Eiserman who will do the exact same thing? Sure Eismerman Suzuki Slaf Caufield sounds nasty but 2 small goal scorers 1 big player and then a suzuki whos is the middle.
It’s funny to see how Leafs fans are refusing to see the progress in Slafkovsky‘s game
