  1. With Dhali on the fact this team as is will not run the gauntlet. If you have a shot at a clutch experienced Cup Champ in Guentzel you take it. He can be our Jaden Schwartz/Robert Thomas.

  2. Guentzel is worth our 2024 1st and a player like Podkolzin/Klimovich. Lekkermaki and Willander are not on the table, and I like enoug what I see that I think ELCs are covered for our window. Worth sacrificing now for this season.

  3. Problem with the waiting to sign petterson is the effect it has on resigning other players. Need to figure out that piece of business before moving onto other contracts. Once he’s signed we will have an idea how to move forward with other players contracts under the cap

  4. Would be an amaing fit yes, but would also cost an amazing amount… no on guentzel. I wouldnt mind trading petey if we got good pieces back.

  5. absolutley No for guentzel yes the canucks are having success this year, but the notion of throwing top prospects away for rentals is totally wrong, they are not cup contenders yet.

  6. Little off on the Pederson comment, he had a tumour in his shoulder in 84/85 and dropped 40 pts from 83/84 to 85/86 so they got the guy he was in his last season in Boston….super nice person though.

  7. What about Sean Monahan? He's on the last year on a cheap contract and can play centre as well as left wing and having a pretty decent season with Montreal.
