Many people will likely call me crazy but right now the value of Kulich/Ostlund/Savoie/Rosen as a group is at it’s highest and the best time for Adams to trade one of them for the parts the Sabres need for the next season and beyond. Buffalo has already burned the first year of the Thompson/Cozens deal and next season they start paying $19.3M for Dahlin/Power.
The Sabres may be in the basement when it comes to the standings but looking at the salary cap they are already in the window of opportunity. It would be nothing short of negligent if Adams decided to run back the same plan again with a couple of band aids rather than making the necessary moves to round out the roster.
