  1. Sharks capitalized well, however they look very very slow after the first 10 minutes. They looked gassed 85% of the night. Hill played dry good minus the very odd hiccup. Meier and Dahlen were the best two on the ice. Burns played like old burns. Glad for the 2-0 start and let’s keep proving everyone wrong!

  2. This is my take away from watching this game. If we go back to last year, even from game 1 the team looked like they had no idea what they were supposed to be doing out there from the group as a whole down to every individual vet or young guy. The amount of just bizarre and terrible decisions top vets would even make was mind boggling. This year is a 180. This feels like watching the Sharks again. Even when they looked a bit tired and took their foot off the gas, you had puck support, good forechecking, cohesion/unity. There was a stretch where they got pinned in their zone for an extended period of time midway through the game and the communication stayed, there were no breakdowns, they were locked in as a unit. You had a bad hit again and there was an IMMEDIATE response from multiple players. i have no idea what is going to come this season but it is clear this feels like an actual hockey team again and one that if this is just the building blocks, has the potential to really climb their way back.

  3. Man the grin on my face is like the nose art of a beautiful P51 mustang with the shark mouth painted on the front. (From one aviator to another ) congrats on the flying btw Brody.

  4. I think the jonathan dahlen stat was shortest amount of time between first two goals as a shark. Not fastest to two goals. I may be wrong though

  5. Definitely a nice start and good show from the old and young guys both. Good to see EK show up especially. The things which made me smile included a more aggressive backcheck throughout the whole game, the high percentage of face-of wins and the shift to the quick shot vs. finesse on the power play. However, Hill was not REALLY tested that hard by the clunky Montreal offense so let's see how he does after more games. Go Sharks!

  6. Mountain DEW!
even though last season was abysmal it wasn't for naught, it gave us Eklund. Just hope he blossoms to a superb player

  7. Adin Hill stole some goals and got a shutout. It’s been awhile since a Sharks goalie bailed the team out like that. I like the team this year.

  8. Hill first goaltender to post a Shutout this season. Don't think I could have guessed that going into the season. Just due to how bad the defense was last season. As I chalk this shutout more on team defense then I do Hill playing a brilliant game. Not to knock Hill as I have loved what I have seen out him so far. But the Habs had very few legit scoring chances and Hill only had to make like 3 or 4 tough saves.

  9. That was the first shutout this season of ANY team! Quite incredible to think about given we were literally the last team to start our season and it came in our second game.

  10. The real question is gonna be if they're still playing at a high level and everything is clicking, what do you do about Kane? Would they be willing to risk having him disrupt the confidence by adding a wild card that can be a headache at times but also be their best player?
