I'll take Ned as #1 the rest of the season.
LOL! Jarry has not been a biggest strength. Not one bit. GAA doesn't tell the whole story because he has had 4 shutouts. Subtract those and his GAA balloons and his save% drops. Jarry isn't consistent at all. He never has been. How many playoff series has he won again? The Pens will never win a Stanley Cup with Jarry in goal. Period.
Ned looked good in relief IMO. The defense was abysmal in boston. Jarry is just a mess, hes not going to change.
The goalies have been bailing the players out all season. It's time for the team to bail them out, which they did last night by scoring one more goal than the bruins. The forwards won the game last night, but in both games the defense has been terrible at actually defending. And to be honest at 5v5, only the dragon is playing great defense.
Get better defenders poj and karlsson aint it
We need to look at trading Jake regardless. Definitely don't want to lose him for nothing and we could get a pretty nice haul back. Then, possibly re-sign him in the offseason. I know trading Jake is blasphamy but, it is what it is. I love Jake and would hope he returns. Jarry and Ned, they control our destiny for this season. I think an even split is needed to keep them healthy and fresh.
In 2 games we went from a potential deadly duo to wondering if we have a starting goalie.

Man this team just baffles me sometimes. Seems like guys get traded here and immediately hit a slump. And it persists across much of the season. Is it just because 87 71 and 58 and 59 are so good by contrast?
I’m team Ned right now. Both teams struggled with defence last night but every other game Ned has looked rock solid. When he came in as relief he was a stud.
I do not have any concern in net. Both goalies have bounced back when needed and both been great so far overall. It's the defense and lack of offense and been that way all year. To turn back to the goalies anytime they have a bad game remember all year the power play offense and poor defense in front of them has been again All Year!
Here’s my take. Goaltending has been above average throughout the league. Ned has been stellar all year from what I’ve seen, jarry has been inconsistent, but when he’s on he is on. You gotta find a way to keep Jake I think. His chemistry with Crosby is unbelievable.

I like the way the goalies get blamed when the Pens have absolutely atrocious defense. They turn the puck over in the defending zone over and over again and get rings skated around them, but no, lets blame the goalies.

I can't believe anyone could be reading into this as anything else they both had a bad game, most players on this team have a bad night in a long season, we won and they will be better next time
