I’m sorry but the latter part of OT was ass. Practically passing it to Detroit and everyone looked absolutely exhausted.
I believe they said they stopped rolling all 4 lines in the third. I imagine that’s what killed them.
I’m just so fucking over us fucking being absolute bums in our home stadium. other teams must be fucking marking their calendars for their LA games.
Their passing is horrible. Better than last game. But horrible! They do the same set up every time in the OZ. They need to practice more plays or something. It’s pathetic, they count on puck luck 70% of the time by throwing shit on net and praying it goes in. It feels like such an outdated hockey strategy.
Every time I see Patrick Kane I kinda wanna beat a cab driver over 20 cents and idk why 😔

Incomplete game dooms us again. Dubois and Kempe looked good. Kaliyev and Spence were good. Not all bad, but hard to see that after another blown lead. First goal was super flukey and Kempe’s penalty was super unlucky, but man that fuckin’ sucked considering the slump going on right now. They were asking to get scored on in OT as well…

Bad 2nd Period -> Lose in the shootout, seems to be the theme right now. Don’t love it.
We played a great first and I think there’s a lot to build on (especially with that Laf/Dubois/Kempe line.) But clearly struggling to win games that we should be winning outright.
This really feels like a regression that they might not be able to right. We’ve got so far from the early season team play that the climb back is going to be huge. Really hope I’m wrong
Todd needs to learn that it’s ok to hold players more accountable for being dumbasses. We know what our team is capable of, we know that each player has great potential, but he’s just letting them get away with the shittiest of things right now
Gotta question the leadership of this team. Not the captain. That’s ridiculous. But guys need to be accountable for every shift, from 1st line down to the 4th. Everyone needs to step up and hold the other guy accountable.
The last 2 years, Todd changed this team’s direction in December and they finished strong. The opposite appears to be happening this year. Really odd.

Super disappointing game. Offense is still struggling to score. Overall I think LA had the better of the play but it really doesn’t matter because you just know they aren’t scoring.
On a positive not, the Kempe-Dubois-Laf line looked really good. Laf is continuing to play his best hockey this season, Dubois is showing his talent finally and Kempe looks like the missing piece for them.
The Fiala-Danault-Grundstrom/Kaliyev line looked pretty bad. Grundstrom does nothing, no real chances being created. Kaliyev did look decent in his return though, thought he looked better than Grundstrom there. Danault has been almost invisible for many games.
First line was not great. Powerplay sucks. Fourth line is what it is, but it would be nice if they got some momentum going for this team eventually.
Overtime was a garbage fest with some ridiculously bad passes (Doughty passing to our bench as their changing and turning it over was insane). Shootouts are complete garbage like usual. I just don’t know what to say.
Overall I liked the way they played for the most part but they blew yet another 2-0 lead. Team is not functioning properly, this coming road trip is going to have some heavy implications for the rest of the year.

Had this conversation with about 4 minutes left in the 1st period when the Kings were up 2-0. I really need to start betting in games involving the Kings because this team is so predictable.
Where’s the guys that were downplaying our slump right now? I want to see you guys come out and defend our last 10 games because it is *not* good.

Here come all of the doomers and gloomers. Yes, the result was a little frustrating and the Kings need to be more consistent but I’m not worried though. The new lines all looked pretty good. I think it is enviable that the Kings will string together a 3 or 4 game winning streak on this upcoming road trip.
Kopi is looking old out there. I really want him to hoist the cup again. But I’m not sure in what capacity that will happen. I am sad.

Idk what’s up with this team. Just zero urgency and really sloppy play. So many good opportunities and passes just for the players in shooting position to fumble the puck
We were on pace to score like 25 goals and then the offense just disappeared
Maybe we just had a hot start and now we’re regressing to the average of where we should be. I feel like the heart of the team is Kopitar, but the brain is Fiala… Great at times, but so many eff ups and lack of discipline that you’re not sure what team is gonna show up any given period.
the little issues like passing and puck control, to effort seemingly falling off. This is a coaching issue. Never been a Todd fan, and seeing this creep out more and more shows my gut was right.
Not on Todd, it’s on the team. He’s been a great coach. Let’s look at the one highlight of the game. The second line of Kempe PLD and laffy, he makes a big line change like moving kempe down a line and it works wonders. Yes I agree this 4 game losing streak is BAD with what we want to do and we should be winning these. The team just needs to put a full 60 minutes in (as cliché as it sounds….) our last like 8 games we play great in the first, shit the bed in the second, and fight our way back in the third. This cold streak will end. We’re a great team just gotta get back into it.

Not as freaked out as the rest of you. This sucks yes, but mid season slumps are like the most classic Kings thing I can remember.
PLD/Kempe success shows that it was never “oh PLD so bad” or “Kempe slump” it’s just a matter of finding the right line fits and getting Arvy back.
Surely Clarke plays and provides a spark soon as well, though it’s a weird situation because Roy and Spence have both been playing well
