We've already had one Connor not only miss out on the All-Star festivities in his first season but also the Calder trophy in the same season. It's very unlikely that Bedard won't win the Calder like McDavid didn't but it could still happen.

If you take close note this whole power play is the Oilerās where the oilers advance the puck up through the neutral zone and then reverse feed it back to a speeding McDavid coming up the ice. The difference being that McDavid is a much faster bigger player than Bedard ever was even in his first year. That was a perfectly clean check. NHL D men are a totally different story than WHL d boys!
