24 hours later and this City is still on cloud 9. What this win means to everyone concerned, is unbelievable! I was here in those early magical years starting in 1967, when the St. Louis Blues retired their 'St. Louis Braves' sweaters, and slipped into their sweaters with that world famous BLUE NOTE, emblazoned across the front, and although the excitement was high, it was nothing compared to what this city is experiencing now. In 1967 & 1968 St. Louis had just followed their baseball team to two consecutive baseball World Series, and we took for granted, that championships were a thing that was easy to come by. Now, 52 years later, we are a much wiser fan base. Although our baseball team has continued to reach the post season, many times, and managed to bring home that Championship trophy, on several occasions, this city as a whole, now knows and understands, that a Championship does not just happen. The same can be said about our former football team, and although that team has since moved on, which should not be construed as anything negative, for that was a bottom line decision by the Wal-Mart family, which bought the team, and from that very first day, they had absolutely no intention of keeping that team by the banks of the Missippi, and as underhanded, and low down lousy as that move was, that owner is realizing that fan loyalty is something that can't be bought, regardless of how many billions of dollars they might have. And for that football team, as successful as they might be, it is fitting that the owner sits and wonders why, his team plays in a magnificent Stadium, with more empty seats, than there are occupied by a true fan! Soooo fitting! But getting back to the City of St. Louis, and its fans. St. Louis takes second place to no one, when it comes to fan loyalty. Enjoy it St. Louis, this was a victory that was well deserved, and a long time coming! LETS GO (ALL THE WAY) BLUES!
I'm a Leafs fan but I always had a soft spot for the Blues. The Blues had excellent radio coverage when I was a kid in the 1970's and in Ontario I could listen to the late, great Dan Kelly call the Blues games.
Al MacInnis , Bob Gassoff Bob Plager , Barkley Plager , Brian Sutter, Brett Hull & Bernie Federko are getting Stanley Cup Rings cause there Numbers are Retired

Brett is loaded lmao
Good for St Louis though. Rooting for you from Edmonton. Maroon and Perron. Loved those guys when they were here.
I sure hope this doesn’t turn out to be like the early 90s for the Blues.
Wish these two could lace em up one last time and play in the final game. LETS GO BLUES!!!
Nailed it
