Personally, I think internally we can deal with the forwards. i.e Lavoie and Holloway come up and play solid 4th and then 3rd line minutes. I think we need a bonnified top pairing RHD and a back up stud goalie. If we can get both of these before the deadline, we are a major cup threat. I know this won't be easy, but look at Vancouver and how aggressive they have been. Needs to be done
i want to know what was going on with McDavid early. He missed two games and seemed like a different player. Was it injury? Or did he have trouble adjusting to Woodcroft's new defensive system?
I definitely didn't expect them to get back into a playoff spot THIS quickly after their terrible start, but I don't think many people were willing to totally count them out. That's the power of having a player like McDavid, I guess. I have a hard time imagining them dropping below a wildcard spot again, but TRULY anything can happen.
Who saw this coming? Anyone who is an actual fan of the team, and knows this roster. I don't expect them to win the west or even the division, but I had little doubt whatsoever, that they would at least secure a playoff spot, and barring any type of disastrous injury, they will keep a playoff spot.
