I'm not a Devils fan, start out with that. That hit by Smith wasn't even close to being a rough hit! Pull up your big boy pants, give the kid 4-6 weeks in a full cage, explain to him that it's ice hockey, it can get a little rough and that you have to keep your head up while crossing the blue line with the puck on your stick or far worse hits are going to come your way. Anybody that really believes this was a dirty or slightly controversial hit in any way doesn't know the sport or is a rabid, low-IQ, Hawks fan. It just simply wasn't an aggressive or dirty hit. Beddard actual ran into Smity more than Smith ran in to him. Now get back to some real news.

Keep Sanderson , Chychryn. Chabot is injured all the time and isn't worth 8 million a year. I wouldn't miss Branstrom either. Getting rid of Korpissalo would be nice. Sens need a solid Goaltender .Keep Batherson and Pinto unless you get a solid Goaltender in return or at least get rid of Korpissalo and get a pick or prospect in return. What's wrong with norris ? i would keep him unless ther is a very serious return. You can't keep adding and subtracting 4 , 5 players every year with on and off injuries and expect chemistry or a cohesive group . Get rid of Korpisallo and the 8 miilion for Chabt. Tarenseko will be gone anyways. Focus on a bonafide star goalie and a solid defenseman prospect .

The Nylander deal is fine if Mitch is gone either this offseason or next. If Mitch is re-signed, probably for more, the Leafs will never win the Cup.

Nothing wrong with the hit at all on 98. Absolutely loved our response though, fights breaking out every shift afterwards and until the last whistle.

clean hits dont break people's jaws, demonstrates where the point of contact/impact was. accidental or not, you're either allowed to hit in the head or you're not. this was a cheap shot because smith hit someone (an 18 year old kid at that) who was in a vulnerable position, total pos move imo. as a hawks fan, revenge is a dish best served cold. receipts mf'n receipts!!

It sucks that Bedard went down, but if it was a clean hit, that's the way hockey works. Welcome to the NHL kid. As a hockey fan, I hope for a speedy recovery for him.
Funny how when he was compared to other 9 mil players he didn't wan to hear it , wanted to only compare within his team. But now he wants to compare and even one up his good buddy pasta?.
