i think in 10 years the PWHL will be the most successful women’s pro league in sports surpassing any soccer league and the WNBA because the women are actually talented and fun to watch unlike the WNBA and a lot of the players are very likable again unlike the WNBA

All this talk of the hit not being ugly…you must be fucking kidding. Again, just because a player is tall doesn't mean he can hit short players with impunity. A deliberate hit to the head very much counts as ugly, and illegal. But the resulting chaos is what happens when you have a policing system cuckold to the old guard, who seem to self-replenish and never go away. Gordie Howe's nickname was "Elbows." That should spell it all out, knowing he lasted 26 years in the NHL.
This culture of hate and violence, will mirror the psychosis we see all around us. It will continue as long as you have a weak and impotent disciplinary system, it's true; however, the fans are the real enemy of hockey. As long as they keep patronizing teams with exorbitant ticket prices and outrageously overpriced concession and merch, teams that pay ludicrous salaries will benefit. As long as they cheer louder for hatred and violence, the wrestling circus will never end. Fuck them all, fans especially.
Are people mentally handicapped or something? It was a shoulder/forearm to the head of a player, that is without any shred of a doubt AGAINST the rules. There is nothing in the rules that says it's completely fine to elbow/shoulder people to their face if they happen to be shorter than you.
Nobody goes to nhl games to watch the grunts play..bloody sad and pathetic that those idiots dont realize that its the stars that put people in the seats and pay your wages!!!

I live and die with the Hawks. Bedard needs to keep his head up. It was quick, but it was clean. However, if you hit a team's franchise star player, you're going to get swung on. Thats hockey. Cope if you don't like it.

Bedard hit isn’t clean. It’s not “dirty” or really bad but it’s 2 mins for headcontact. Principal point of contact is his jaw, and you don’t just break your jaw without getting hit directly in the head…
People are not realizing that team USA instigated the fight by cross checking behind the refs back out of the play and then turtling when the refs came over so obviously Sweden is going to stick up for there team by fighting back
If you're going to talk about the PWHL, then you should start talking about AAA Midget Boys, because its better, faster, harder hitting and just all around better hockey. Just sayin…
Such stupidity. Someone checks another guy cleanly and the rest of his team mates jumps on the guy for checking cleanly. Only in hockey. What is this, hockey players can't take a hit? As if a boxer gets hit and the corner man comes in to stand up for his guy 🙂

Sorry but Bedard deserved that hit. He's been cocky and arrogant from before entering the league. Maybe after taking 4-6 weeks to think about it, he comes back with some respect. He's good…really good, but needs a reality check. Too hyped, and buying into it leads to poor decisions. Get well Bedard, and I hope you have learned a valuable lesson.
I thought the unspoken rule was only a rookie can hit a rookie. But boy oh boy was I wrong. Conner ate that hit like a man ( as in skate off the ice ) but I didn’t like it. Yes the hit was clean but from a vet to a rookie is where I think a line was crossed.
So the Blackhawks just told everyone "If you are going to hit Bedard, you may as well hit him the hardest you can because we are going to fight you no matter what". Is that a top notch response?
I get the Hawks reaction immideately after the hit. Your star is out on a hit, you fight. But when you look at the replay during a break, you've got to let it go or you'll be giving out the message above to everyone.

Say what you want about Foligno, but fighting Perry after he 100% ACCIDENTALLY clipped Tavares in the head was the most ridiculous excuse for a fight I've ever seen.
imagine if it was 20 years ago with Scott Stevens…. Bedard's career would've been ruined before it barely started.
No women needed to discuss professionally about NHL. They just dont know the chemistry and eticet on the ice. Things that seems violent can be there for makin less violence. Excample fightning. Nobody who was part of playoffs can say truthfully what is going on there ”behind scenes”

Holy fuck the dishonesty on the Nick Cousin’s hit… the Yote was on both feet when Cousins decided to finish his check and then the Yote randomly dropped to a knee a moment before impact. How’s a player supposed to stop all forward momentum in half a second. Also, yea he turtle after the Gudbranson check, but lets not act like Gudbranson wanted a clean fight after. Gudbranson was faking an injury on the ice and rose up like the Undertaker after the whistle was blown. If Cousins is a turtle Gudbranson was a embellisher.
