  1. What makes no sense is our following games in Feb at home to the Islanders and Stars

Toronto to Winnipeg isn’t that long of a flight

  3. There is so much that goes into building a year long schedule for 32 teams, in 32 arenas that host multiple sports and events.

Back to back is playing consecutive nights – that’s a home and home

I understand you’re looking at it from a Leafs-centric point of view but consider for a moment the Jets’ schedule. That week they are doing a quick trip east to play Ottawa and Boston and then into Toronto before returning home.

Either the Leafs come home to play the Jets and then they both fly to Winnipeg for the 2nd game, or the Jets come home from Boston to play the Leafs in Winnipeg, and then they both fly back out to Toronto for the 2nd game. It’s the same situation for both teams.

There’s no perfect solution for both teams, so the schedulers just picked one of the two and life goes on.

  6. Because the Jets are in Ottawa the game before? Because the arena wasn’t available in winnipeg on the 27th? Because a 2.5h vs a 4h flight with 2 days rest is pretty much the same? Because schedule making is more complicated than just making sense to one fan of one team who obviously can’t think outside their own experience?

OP just can’t read…look at their other post.

They also don’t seem to have a problem with the Home and Home with the sharks…which is the exact same scenario.

  8. I’m going to the sunday Kraken game! Arena 7/32 of seeing the Leafs in every stadium

Scotiabank or the Jets arena might not have been available if you switched the dates. Scotiabank is a busy place that has Raptors/Leafs/concerts/shows all year long, you can’t just pick any date you want and say we are playing here.

Edit: Scoatiabank arena actually is open on January 27th but the Jets arena has the Jets AHL team playing on the 24th

The Jets AHL team is playing at their arena on the 24th so their arena isn’t available that day
