OK, this article explains what is going on with Nick Cousins. Apparently, the rest of the league thinks he’s a head-hunter. Bieska cites three incidents over the past two seasons, none of which resulted in an injury.

Remember when nick cousins had a burner account on Twitter only tweeting about how great nick cousins was and bad mouthing his lineages. Me thinks he is on reddit too.
Doesn’t matter if the player is injured or not. The potential is there. You can throw a clean hit and the guys visor bounces off the ice and cuts his lip doesn’t mean there is ill intent. The hit on gudbranson could have been serious spinal injury, guy on Arizona lucky he wasn’t concussed.
You don’t hit someone on their knees, if you watch the replay he actually jumps at him as he’s going into hit so clearly could have tried to avoid it if he had time to accelerate into it.
Gubrandson could have been paralyzed, also scheifeele last year was blindsided without the puck.
Usually where there is smoke there is fire. That’s 3 times.
At some point he’s gonna be on the receiving end.
Bieksa played the game the right way. Doesn’t call people out but finally saw enough and almost all the hockey world except a the few panthers fans don’t agree.
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
If Cousins was head hunting, he’d have hurt someone by now yet he hasn’t. If he was a rat, he’d be doing a lot of other little things to agitate the opposing team yet he isn’t.
Cousins is reckless and he’s currently in concussion protocol paying for his recklessness.
With that said and out of the way, is this actually getting a lot of coverage? I don’t pay much attention to the talking heads on Canadian TV, but this is a few almost-but-not-quite injuries and a retaliation that caused a concussion involving a 3rd line winger playing for a team that barely gets covered outside its own market.
Everyone on all sides of this needs to do better.
Cousins – Stop being reckless, it’s not helping anything and now you’re on IR.
Gudbranson – Stop jumping people, you look like you have rage issues and you got suspended.
Zucker – Stop bashing heads into the glass, dropping the gloves would’ve sent the same message without you getting suspended.
Talking heads on TV – Stop baiting people with slow motion clips and half thought out takes, have some self respect, you worthless bunch of trolls.
Panthers – You’re probably about to trade Cousins anyway for other reasons, so carry on with that, but if you’re going to ice this many controversial players then at least keep Gadjovich healthy. Or re-sign Gudas. That’d be cool.
Angry Redditors venting to Panthers fans – Eh, no real complaints there. Seems to be becoming something of a new pastime in Toronto anyway. Bring it and we’ll see you in the playoffs.
Me – Stop writing long replies on the internet and just start a blog or something, no one will remember this post in a few weeks anyway.
