Football is no longer positional. He ain’t even playing rb. His crossing is world best, however his overall ball control, tactical awareness ain’t world class yet. Make no mistake he has a top top top player in him but this video is overhyping him. Trippier imo contributes more to the team than taa, Ben white plays a better control game.. but, taa can start in any team in the world and be an asset of course . I don’t think he deserves criticism but overhyping him does not help

Trent only needs to be aware of his surroundings when defending. He mostly focuses on where the ball is and who has it than checking if there is anyone behind him freely in a good position waiting a pass or cross to come his way. That is his weakness and why the likes of Vinicious jnr managed to score from his position.
Take your head up, look at your right, left and back. Scan your surroundings and you're good to go.
If Trent can do this, No one wil criticize him. He is already the best RB in moder day football. But as a liverpool fan myself i want to see him work on that.

Great video. Your point about "what type of defender does your team need?" is absolutely perfect. A defensive minded fullback does not suit Klopp's Liverpool. But Trent is the building block of what Klopp wants to do.

Not exactly sure what the "Truth" is.. All the things mentioned in the video haved already been known about Trent Alexander-Arnold at least to a person who is following football on somewhat regular basis… Are we trying to compare him to Beckham? Then why don't we compare othet big talented players with similar shooting and passing skills to him… there were many back in the day, and there are quite a few now… Trent "changed" the position (Roberto Carlos laughing out loud), Beckham changed the entire game of football. There is far far far more to Beckham and his story than a pure football talent…
Trent was never the issue, evryone knew his strenght and weaknesses. Our problem was that he cant do both at the highest level, one would suffer either way however now his role have changed. With players to cover him when he moves forward the biggest diffrence last year. In addition his hybrid role make it clear that his responsibility defence is expekted less in return more creativity forward. His once in a life time talent is finally being how it should be. I love the summer transfer window, it has gotten the best out of Trent and the entire team❤

He is gd player he not world class tho, though there have also be alot of better player then trent ..You want a Complete wb or fb so I would pick Trippier over him everytime and Walker and prob James too all 3 have better balance of skills ..

He can be criticized for his performance as an RB. No doubt. But even he had good moments as a defender this season, his offensive appearances are on a whole other level. He really can change a game for the REDs. Look at the FA Cup against arsenal. A vice captain for a reason.
hes only been a defeder since he got in the main team.. not suprsied he gets cooked the lad is a midfiled player… still best right back for us tho by a mile.. saying that, the new lad we have aint bad but hes a RB.. so hope we get to see trent rocking midfiled more where he feels more natural.
