The difference between the first 10 minutes & the rest of the game was very noticable. We definitely got lucky, both with bounces & with Joey(excluding that first Sabers goal) that we only allowed 1 goal during that period of time. We easily could have gotten scored on more during that time, which would at best make the final score closer & at worse changed how those remaining 50 minutes went. But other than that, this was a great win & a great start to our road trip, especially after that big break.

Some thoughts:
– love that look from Matty. He needs to uncork that shot more often
– DACCORD – I’m running out of words to praise his play
– early season – come out strong and fall off, this game – give up way too much early, show character, fight back and dominate
– Isn’t this the team we thought we were getting this year? Can they continue to show such character and ability?!
– last year we fell off after the allstar break, could we actually get better after it this year?
– what’s up with McCann? Not just his scoring but it feels like he’s an afterthought on the ice some games. I want to give him a big hug and then a kick in the butt
– win the next one and we’re on track for 90 pts, but with recent improvement, that could easily be 95-100!
