I was tricked into moving to Illinois and let me tell you that it’s hostile territory. I don’t think there is a lot of Pens fans anywhere.. I have only gone to the outdoor game here at soldiers field and at a game where the pens lost 5-1 they were aggresively demonstrative…
However I will see you there, I got tickets for Christmas

Are… are away team sections a thing anywhere in the NHL? I feel like I’ve only seen that in high school/college sports and soccer.

Probably just best to pick a seat you can afford on the side that the pens shoot twice.

Anywhere you sit you’ll be good, there aren’t any issues with us locals. The only issue is the price of beer (in my humble and thirsty opinion).

I’ll be in 312. Good amount of penguins fans go every year so you should be fine where ever

Sit in the lower bowl. Otherwise you will get stuff thrown at you. I went a few years ago and set 11 rows from the ice. We were told by multiple people what happens higher up.

i’ve always been a fan of anywhere between the blue lines, no closer than like 20 rows. glass seats are cool to do once. kinda sucks otherwise

I live in Chicago and go every year. No problems ever. You’re good sitting anywhere.

Agreeing with the sit anywhere, been to multiple games and always in opposing apparel. Never had an issue.

My wife and I live in Milwaukee and we’ve gone to the United Center a couple of times for pens games. Fan behavior was a lot worse when the Hawks were good. We went in ‘21 when Fleury was playing for the Hawks, it was fine, lots of pens fans. I tend to find that cheaper seats come with shittier behavior at most sporting events so if you can find something in the 200 or 100 sections I would do that.

Being from Chicago I’ve been to every Blackhawks Penguins game for the last 8 years. I havent noticed a dedicated spot where pens fans decide to takeover but I would recommend picking the side of the ice that the penguins will be on offense twice.

Pens fan here who went there once. All I can say is do not miss the National Anthem singer. Wow, I needed a cigarette after that and I don’t even smoke! What an amazing singer who you will never forget.
