What do you guys think if we're making the playoffs any changes should be done and whose the guy 😊
I'm still on the fence when it comes to Owen Beck.
I'm certainly not as optimistic as you guys are with Owen Beck after watching his performance at the WJC. I found him very ordinary.
I'm a little more bullish with Filip Mesar. At the WJC, Mesar is a lot more creative and has a bigger impact on the game.
I feel Beck’s ceiling would be like a Philip Danualt type player, which is fine by me.
Harris was lost tonight and I just don’t know what they do with him. He can’t go down but shouldn’t be starting on this team IMO.
I think we shouldve traded Lindstrom. I didnt think he would get waived but i think he could've fetched an ok pick. Maybe at the deadline a late 2nd for lindstrom if we kept him. If were only 4-6 points out of the playoffs buy the deadline, i say we get Rasmus Andersson and maybe another 1-3 good deph forwards
Owen Beck i think has the celing of Sean Monahan. He was a #1 C so that isnt bad. I think he can be a consistent good producing center. I dont see him being as good as prime Monahan though. 40 point middle 6er to me.
LLLLane Hutson!!! Watched the whole game and every USA game. If this guy was 6'2 he would be considered the next best defenseman in the NHL. His passing is ELITE. He has elite hands. Good awareness and vision with a decent shot. Not to mention a very good two way game at a high level. Even shows traits of a Gally physically.
I often get a lot of hate on my opinion on Hutson. But i think he can actually be a future Norris winner.
looked for fucks to give about losing Lindstrom. fresh out
Also, Joshwawa with the two goals and an apple tonight. Bringing him to 30 points in 33 games as possibly the youngest guy in the AHL. Man.. are we lucky he got fat for that one season before his draft.
Edit: not the youngest but a late 20yo.
Would Kent have tried to get something for Linddstrom before putting him on Waivers?
The thing that hurts with Lindström is he was the perfect package deal sweetener on an Allen deal for instance. He is NHL established now, no doubt about it, can easily go second pairing on any rebuilding team, can go third on one going for the playoffs. Plus his salary is still minimal and he will not ask for the moon come extension talks. He's slightly better overall than what some teams with unbalanced offence vs D have on their second to 3rd duo (hello Leafs & Oilers)…
Bit late for Beck and Hutson to have great games now! They needed to have them againt NHL-level competition at the WJC. Neither of them particularly impressed at all on that stage.
