Look, we know what happened last year. It’s documented and it doesn’t reflect well of BB, and he holds a grudge.
The GM and President come out and say they don’t want him, and had no idea he holds an option to coach the Canucks for the year.
BB exercises that option and comes back as coach.
Then he does fuck all for coaching, guys came out of camp having no idea what system to play, where to be, etc. It was like a beer league team of NHL players trying to compete with the rest. He only benched underperforming players AFTER asked if that’s an option for him. “Ya, that’s my job to motivate players and sitting them in the press box is one way I do that” (well quotes shouldn’t be there because I’m paraphrasing and can’t find the actual quote). The next game, he benched… Hell, I can’t remember now, maybe Garland? Boeser?
Point is, he was doing the bare minimum because he didn’t give a fuck if they won or lost, he wanted that cheque.
There were a TON of people defending him last year, whining about how poorly his firing was done. That’s a part of coaching IMO, if BB has a gripe against the FO, it’s that they didn’t get him a goaltender after Demmer went down.
At any rate, fuck him for putting himself above the team last year and now. Maybe someone did suggest he put QH at center, what’s the point of bringing it up now? Even if it were true, he shouldn’t have told QH, and doing this now is completely self serving.

ps: and fuck the media for not picking up on this and instead throwing the team under the bus. This is why I have no respect for you guys.

Not sure about this one, but I’ve honestly wanted to see Myers try wing. When he pinches in he is very strong on the puck, and seems to be able to find a lane to get to a good scoring position. When we have full complement of healthy D men I would love to see him take the last F spot and see what he can do there for a game or two.

This doesn’t add up at all. Last year we had 3 credible Centers before the horvat trade and, aside from Hughes, zero defensemen.
If anything, they should have played Miller or Horvat on D last year.

I believe him. I don’t see Bruce as being a guy who’s going to lie about something like that. But, that’s a pretty dumb idea and I really hope whoever it is that suggested that isn’t with the team anymore or is somebody really down low on the pecking order and doesn’t have any power.
