Avs fan here living in Vancouver and listen to the local sports radio now and again. On Monday they were discussing which team needs in the NHL needs a goalie and they mentioned the Wheels have been played off Georgiev.

He’s played a lot of games so far and when we tried to play the ‘backup’ against Florida last weekend to give George some rest, he STILL had to come in the came to save shit. We need someone reliable in the 2 seat
Colorado absolutely need a back up. He has good moments, last night would be a great example. But there’s a reason his safe percentage has been falling throughout the season
Georgie just needs a consistent D and a solid backup.

Can someone more knowledgeable about the squad chime in about Annunen? Seems to have good numbers in the AHL (less so in the NHL last stint) but is he worth more ice time?
Does anyone know if there’s any chance of Frankie coming back?

I do think we are probably playing him too much, but I also think our backup is that great. There have also been a few games where the team in front of him played some really sad defense. I don’t listen to those podcasts, but it sounds like they are saying a similar thing.
If we had a better backup it would be nice. If we play more games the way we played the VGK the other day, he will also be fine but…. I think we need to do something about our backup if we want to make a deep run in the playoffs.
