Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown has some kind of connection to the NHL and Leafs to be getting former names making appearances in the city regularly.
There is outdoor skating in Gage Park after the new year levee. It’s accessible by public Transit from Downtown Toronto.
Downtown Brampton has a Direct 40 minute GO train running on weekends every hour from Union station on the Kitchener line.

Ew, not with Patrick Brown.
Leafs legend
But then I have to deal with the Canadian equivalent of Florida Man – Brampton Mans.
Patrick Brown is a Conservative nutcase, so no thanks.
Itās also Lindros*
Lindros started his career as kind of a jerk refusing to play for the Nordiques, but has grown up to be a man committed to supporting charities and great causes. I’m a big fan. His tenure with the Leafs was unfortunately short, but man was it exciting to see him suit up in the blue and white. Wish we had him healthy and in his prime. Dude was a beast.
This is pretty cool, Tucker came through to Brampton last year around this time too.
Most celebrities get appearance fees.
You can just Google the agencies, find a list of their clients, and the fee.
The city may pay for it or could be a local business chips in.
I met Lindros in a bar a long time ago and shook his hand. I’m 51 years old and he holds the record for the biggest hands I’ve seen in my life. Huge fuckin mitts.
The great one himself couldnāt sway me into being in the same place as Patrick brown
Ask him about his sawmill!
Loved the guy when he played but going to meet him now just seems sad and depressing for all parties involved. Itās like those comedies where washed up actors go do book signings.
Must be kind of awkward, considering Lindros was the one who brought the misconduct allegations against Brown into the public eye and caused him to resign as MPĀ
