TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button joined the guys to chat about the hit on Erik Gudbranson over the weekend and if the Canucks should trade Andrei Kuzmenko.

I feel bad for kuz. He’s a decent hockey player, but you guys (media) hype him up into something he isn’t. He scored 39 goals last year which is terrific. But we lost a lot of games. This is a new coaching staff under a new structure so he’s obviously going to recede. However when you guys print a story about the kid every time he’s scratched or eats a fuckin banana, it makes it worse.
It's the Hall of Fame, not the Hall of Stats. With all due respect to Tavares, and he's a great player, what's he accomplished that makes him famous? Nothing.
The Kuz situation reminds me of Boeser. First year they just let him play his game and he was successful at putting up the points. Then they started to get him to focus on developing other areas of his game, his production declined. Hard to tell if get there in the end or if he'll need to play for a team that plays him the way he's use to playing.
Brock didn’t get traded when he was slumping. Slowest skater, not hard on pucks, paid to be a scorer and he struggled. Yet we kept him. Now his game has further developed. Kuzy has 1.25 years in nhl and he’s getting shit on because he’s not on pace for his 39goals again. Can we chill out and not overreact
I saw a shoulder contact the center of Goody's back. To me it was a dirty hit and I would have went off to. Wrong person got suspended. As for Kuz, he is slowly coming on. His game is getting stronger recently.Might turn into a 25 to 35 goal scorer. Maybe not this year unless he catches fire. And he has the talent. Tocchet just wants the guys to be on the same page and he is getting there. It could easily turn around and bite you on the butt if you trade him. Goal scorers are at a premium.He looked really good tonite against Tampa.

A lot of Kuzmenko goals were tips and shots from within 10’ of the net. On the PP he is now on the wall – no goals by him from there.
